I have never seen a field so full of so many different kinds of flowers.
It was very cool, but not much fun to walk through, kinda scratchy.
Brown eyed Susans and Daisies always make me think of my Aunt Mary.
Well I suppose I should get back to the laundry, the kids and I are leaving for Detroit tomorrow.
Today I feel OVERWHELMED.

My Father in Law is a man of many talents. One of them is restoring things…
He restores old toys, campers, tractors,CARS…
When he found his latest project he sent a picture to me right away to show me that it qualifies for this years PPS!
I like it for that reason… Cooper likes it because Grandpa Ken has a Sir Topham Hatt car!
Now I wonder if Ben and I can convince him that he doesn’t need the Studebaker convertible anymore. hmmm…
He also has a Model A that he fully restored and it’s great fun… I know I have a picture around here someplace…
At some point I figure he’s going to run out of garage space!

This fellow was in the mood for posing at the beach the other day.
He landed on a patch of black sand and I though… ick, move please… But when I got home I was surprised to find I like the black sand shots the best!

Calling the Waves
Oh to have the joy and imagination of childhood again.
One of my favorite things about being a parent is experiencing my childhood over again through them.
Why have kids if you aren’t going to enjoy them, right?
What’s a great memory from YOUR childhood?
Some of you mentioned that you would like to stay in a light house.
There are several in Michigan you can do that at.
If you want to find more go…
You can stay at the Northport Cat’s Head light station.
You can be the lighthouse keeper for a week at a time.
The actual light station is down farther on the beach, this house is now too far up on the beach to be used.
The kids and I also went swimming and rock picking with my friend Megan that day too.

Isabelle left me a little message that she knew I would find while I was looking for rocks.
Today we took Ben to that beach and came home with a sand bucket full of Petosky stones and Charlevoix stones!

Manistee North Pierhead Light Station
Michigan has 124 light houses and light stations.
So far this summer I have taken pictures of five, two that I hadn’t been to before.
Since it’s going to be a slow weekend I think I’ll post the light houses now and the PPS 09 link post on Monday.

Today we went to the beach in Northport and picked stones.
The kids found fifteen Petosky stones in under an hour.
Then we hit the lighthouse…
I am too tired to edit pictures now, I’ll put some up later.
Lately I’ve been checking out the milkweed.
Have you ever noticed how pretty milkweed flowers are?
I love seeing milkweed, to me they represent Monarch butterflies!

Cooper, Ben and I went on picture quest today.
It was a perfect cloud day!
I found this field and Cooper and I walked on the edge.
“Your going to be my model today.” I told him.
“Well, what should I do?” he said.
“What do you want to do?” I asked
“I like the clouds.” He said looking around. “I think I’ll catch a cloud!”
“I think I’ll catch… THAT ONE!”
“Jump for it.” I said, so he did.
“I got it.” He said, proudly staring at his hands imagining he clutched a cloud.
Today was a perfect cloud day.
