seedsower

  • Alright, I am much calmer and a little cooler today.

I probably did over react a little bit. I’m not sorry I said anything though. I am sorry however that I mass massaged everyone since I’m not sure the issue deserved the attention I asked for.  So I learned a lesson… When I’m upset I will step away from the mass message button.

You guys were great  and you made me feel a little better, even the few who thought I was wrong.

I probably should have divulged  that when I was younger, my little sister had her head split open by kids throwing “stuff” in the water when we were at summer camp one year. She had to get stitches,  I don’t remember how many, I am sure she does.

    ANYWAY…

    Moving on.

I get to see @Seedsower soon! Tomorrow!

She is taking a little side trip to go to a flea market with me before she and @SaintVI take off on their epic journey. Route66.

    I am so excited!

    Can you tell?

  • Road Trip with SeedSower

Recently I made it to The Duh to finally meet Saint Vi and to join up with Seedsower for a small side trip.

We went to the Meijer Garden in Grand Rapids.

We were headed to Chicago, but had a slight shift in plans when Wakeuplaughing posted about the Chihuly Exhibit, since Beth and I both LOVE Chihuly we had to go!

WakeUpLaughing was kind enough to come walk with us, it was a very nice surprise.

SeedSower has posted her pictures HERE

WakeUpLaughings Pictures are HERE and HERE

and  here are some of mine!

    Chihuly tree

    I was mimicking THIS shot

I left my fisheye on the whole time. *sigh* I wish I hadn’t, but it’s a pain to change it back and forth…

    Maybe I need another camera… hmmm…

I could spend a whole day there just shooting the plants.

I wish I could have gotten a better angle on this one, but I didn’t think the garden would appreciate me climbing on the wall… On the way out I did notice some little kids doing it, next time maybe I should pretend not to know better.

If you have a chance to make it to the exhibit I highly recommend it!

I can’t wait until Seedsower and I have our next adventure!

IS there an adventure on the horizon for you?

  • Some of what I saw (with Beth) part 3

    I’m falling behind!

The plans to go to Northport and the Sand Dunes feel through due to a sick monster…

    Luckily Beth is flexible…

Boy is she! She was showing Isabelle how to do the splits and kiss the floor! VERY impressive.

    Pictures to come!

    (Just kidding Beth!)

    Instead we went here…

    old mission lighthouse

    Old Mission light house.

Mildred really wanted to see a light house.

I think she had Betsie Point in mind, but we will save it for next time.

    walking on water

The kids had a great time.

They even found some tadpoles for the frog pond.

I have a ton more to show you…

More from Old Mission and some from our boat ride on the Bay.

Last night Beth took Ben and I out to dinner and I have some from that..

but for now The kids and I are taking Beth to The House of Doggs for lunch gotta run!

    The question!

If Beth aka SEEDSOWER were visiting YOU… What would YOU take her to do????

  • SEEDSOWER has her post up and it is wonderful! It almost makes me want to take my pictures down her’s are so good! That’s okay though… Part of taking pictures with her is I can watch her and learn… I CAN’T WAIT to go do it again. I miss my friend.  Go check out her wonderful  pictures! I wish I could convey to you how fun it was to go out with her and take pictures. To sit down at night with each other and look through them and edit togeher, it was just, well wonderful… I need some new words, You know what I mean?

I am off to my family reunion today. I will eat lots of food, talk to people I have known since I was a babe and some I haven’t… then we are going TUBEING! I am, of course, taking the water camera.

I really enjoy our family reunions, we have one every year and that’s just enough…

What about your family reunions, do you look forward to them or dread them?

  • Some of what I saw

    We made it home safely.

I can’t believe how much fun we had.

    veiw from the top .jpg

From the top of the Empire State building I saw A LOT.

Pidgeon are you looking at me.jpg

I also had a grand time harassing the pigeons, on our whole visit actually.

There was probably a pigeon cry of relief when our bus left the city.

    harrassed pigeon.jpg

When there was a possibility for a shot like this though,

How could I NOT harass them?

I call it Laughing at Reflections.

    Newyork library door walk by.jpg

    A DOOR of course.

This may be my favorite one of the year.

Is it my perfect door shot? I don’t know…

    bus station floor shoes.jpg

Just for The Green Panther a.k.a. Becky.

Xangan feet on a dirty bus station floor.

    Just what she always wanted!

Tomorrow I head home, I can’t believe my time is over, it’s been such a blast!

I will be glad to get home to my Baby… umm… Babies, and get around to all of your sites and visit.

I will try to answer all of the scrapple questions then.

Also coming soon to a blog near you,

     specifically mine,

     Lunch at Gray’s Papaya,

A look into the hidden life of the Xanga team,

    and

A chat with the Citizens of NYC, stay tuned!

    SO

Do you like what I saw?

    What is your favorite?

  • NA NA NA NA NAAAAA NAH… :-D

My count down has begun! Only eighteen days left until I begin my journey!

What journey?        (You ask, intensely interested.)

My road trip to see SEEDSOWER! We will be taking a side trip to New York too.

Why New York?        (You ask, with intense interest.)

To visit the Xanga team of course… and to do what else? Well we don’t know yet. I am sure we will find something, suggestions are being  taken.

I don’t know if I am more excited to visit the Amish community and barns and land around Beth’s greenhouse, or to wander the BIG city. Isn’t it wonderful that we get to do it ALL!

Are you doing anything BIg this summer that your excited about?
