FAVORITE MUSIC

Vampire Weekend, I just got their album Contra.  I love it.

Their music remind me of so many of my favorite musicians, Paul Simon, Elvis Costello, with a little Oingo Boingo thrown in... I can't wait to hear more.

 I chose the song Punk because it's raining outside today. What do we do on rainy days?

We wear raincoats of course!

On Sunday my boys and I went for a drive.

We went to one of my favorite places, the Pier in Frankfort.

I love these grates.

If they give you a guilt trip by showing you the little fish, maybe you won't hurt it.

There are so many cool textures right now.

Heading out.

It's always a little tense walking down the last section of the pier...

It just doesn't feel wide enough, especially when you take your five year old!

I love it when nature "draws the line in the sand."

See... these are the duck tracks and this is the tracks of the dog that ate the duck...

Aren't big brother's great.

This picture of Charlie reminds me of the Beatles Abby Road cover...

After the Pier of course we had to stop at the boy's favorite restaurant...

On the way home Charlie said "This was a good day." Cooper said "Yeah, a very good day."

I thought so too.

I hope your weekend was as pleasant as mine.

I took a lot of pictures without the fish eye, but they all feel so flat, I am sure the novelty will wear off sometime.

 I'm not sick of it yet.

I have always liked watching Jamie Oliver and now I like it even more!

One of my other all time favorite things... (If you've never been a part of one, try it sometime, it's great fun.)

Check out the show, it has definetly made me think that my monster's and I need to change how we do some things... Passing up the chicken nuggets at the grocery store today wasn't hard AT ALL...

The kids and I went out and enjoyed the 80 degree days we had last week.

Life is good.

Tonight while I was making dinner Cooper sat down for a conversation.

He was wearing his pirate patch and looked quite solemn.

Cooper- "Mom, call me Shark."

Me- "Okay Shark, Why am I calling you Shark? I like Cooper."

Cooper/ Shark- "Cooper is the name of a car, a little car, Shark is way cooler."

Me-"Ahhh I see. Well why don't we call you Drake? That's your name too, and it's cool."

Cooper/Shark- "Drake means dragon, and that's cool, but I like Shark better.."

Lifting his eye patch he got a look of pure joy on his face...

Cooper/Shark/ Drake- "I KNOW! I can be Shark Drake, a Shark that spits flames is way cooler then a little car."

Now how does one argue with that?

(I'm so glad Spring is here, I actually think I'm going to want to go take pictures again.)

Favorite things posts make me feel better... So I'm doing a favorite things post.
