  • Time keeps on ticking…

I am turning 40 in less than a month. Panic is setting in.

When I turned 18, I sat on my bed and cried. When my Mom came in to comfort me and asked why I was crying I told her it was because I was SO OLD… Yeah, she laughed.

This year I go back and forth between wanting to cry and excitement… I am entering a new frontier…

What age made you sit up and take stock of your life?

  • Hey Mornin Glorie!!!!   thirteen was my year – mother took me to Woolworths and said ” what do you want for your birthday, an umbrella or a bra?”  I said  ”Umbrella, I ain’t wearin a bra” and she got me a bra anyway…I’ve been warped ever since   Be excited Ang…the best is yet to come

  • Happy Birthday! : )

  • No worries – the 30 somethings are over rated. Forty is where its at and fifty is pretty darned good too. I haven’t reached an age yet where I think I’ve put the best years behind me!!

  • haven’t you heard? 40′s the new 30 :)

  • I turned 40 this past January. I had the biggest party I’ve had in forever and had so much fun I didn’t even think about being older. And being 40 makes it easier to just be yourself and not worry about what others think. 40 is a blast, and you will love it. :)

  • At the age of 79 year old , Ang . You have much time ahead !
    Love

  • I’m having a hard time turning 40, but once it’s past I’m sure I’ll take a deep breath and say “Is that it? There was nothing to worry about.” I think it’s just the fact we aren’t there yet. Once we cross that threshold it will be ok. Maybe it’s a fear of facing increasing responsibility that makes aging hard for us. My wife is taking me to see Avengers for my birthday though, so at least we know I’m not maturing at all, just aging.  ;)

  • Every year is better than the last.  The good part is you never lose your past.  You can haul out the good memories anytime, all the while doing and learning things you never even considered before.
