  • IT’S ABOUT TIME!!!

YAY! My little sister is FINALY here! We are spending the day geocaching with my uncle and the two babies! This will be an adventure. Actually they will be geocaching, I will be… TAKING PICTURES!!! I can’t wait, I just haven’t felt inspired by anything lately. When she is dragging me around the countryside I see things I would never plan to see… I’m not sure if that makes sense to you guys, but trust me, Its a good thing!

So I’m off! Not my rocker, although I’m sure you all expect that, no, I’m headed out the door for a day of fun and wonder. Can’t wait to share it with you guys when I get back.

Hope you guys have a great day!

Oh John! I have to change the lady… she is very nice, But I like a woman who revels in her facial hair. Also, we need to take her out and get her some food! So I’m putting Mona up for a while longer.

    Be Safe!

You may think you speak “Standard English straight out of the dictionary” but when you step away from the Great Lakes you get asked annoying questions like “Are you from Wisconsin?” or “Are you from Chicago?” Chances are you call carbonated drinks “pop.”

    Thanks Meezer!

    I’d say that’s pretty spot on… Although I do sometimes call  pop… soda… just because I’m a wild woman!

  • IS SHE ME?

New profile picture from my friend John aka Gunstarhero … What do you think… she is more sexy in a mysterious way and I usually go for sexy in a humorous way… but I like her. She’s hiding her beard though!

    ******************EDIT***********************************************

When I was doing the program yesterday Ben had the job of walking Cooper around and introducing him to people. Everyone loved Cooper and Ben even had a few requests to visit residents. When Ben was introducing Coop to a woman that works there they had a conversation that went something like this.

woman- “You have your Daddies eyes.”

Ben- “Actually he has his Mommies eyes.”

    Cooper- “I HAVE MY EYES.”

    Yes, my Son is brilliant.

Hope you all are having a great day!

  • Captive Audience

About a month and a half ago Ben went to work at an assisted living hospital as one of their two IT guys, about a week after he started I got a call from their activities director asking me to do a program on glass. I, in my usual brian fog way, forgot about it until yesterday.

So today I had a captive audience. I was a little nervous because I HATE, HATE, did I say HATE… talking in front of people. I can do it but I am not great at it and usually I only like doing things I am GREAT at… I am kidding! I have trouble putting up a picture of myself, you think I like it any better when I have to let people stare at the real thing?!

So I carted in my loads of stuff and set up all of my gear and gave a little talk about my glass work, how I got started in it, the tools used, the glass and how it is done. I passed around some books and pictures of my work. We talked about mosaic work and other types of glass work. And then I whipped out my BIG project. I had cut some 2 inch squares of colored and clear glass and taken a small  bag of tiny fabric fall leaves. So I had everyone make a little sandwich with one clear piece and one colored and a few leaves in the center then I gave them all a piece of the copper foil and a piece of fish line so they copper foiled them together and put a fish line hanger on them so they could hang them in their windows… It was a hit.

I had about twenty, twenty-five people there for the talk, only two of which were men… about two thirds of the people were in wheelchairs, so even if I had been HORRIBLE… they couldn’t have run far. I also took the opportunity to size up some of the eighty year old women who have been hitting on my husband. I think I can take’em if I have to.

I vaguely remember saying that I’d love to do it again anytime… As I hit my head against the steering wheel all of the way home.

Also! Took the stained glass frog even though I haven’t painted the eyes on him yet and a woman who was volunteering there wants to buy him so… YAY.

  • What I saw. :-)

At first glance I saw the dove like everyone else did.

Then I also saw a Fox head eating something while he smiled… the doves chest would be the inside of his mouth and the wings would be the tip of his ears.

Then I saw a hand puppet show with the fox head and the other one is a little more free form… I see it as a pheasant head going into his mouth.   He could just be eating a BIG sausage.

Yeah.. I had too much time on my hands that day!

Does this have to count as my official post? Hmmm…

I didn’t scare myself this morning… I took advice from all of you and avoided looking in the mirrior.

Yes… I always walk around with my head in the clouds.

Well, except for when I don’t.

I think this one was so cool, I see several things.

    What do you see?

  • WHO IS THAT?

You know, I usually like the way I look in the morning when I wake up, all warm and rumpled. This morning I looked in the mirror and scared myself…

  • Another deep thing…

Was I missing my children this afternoon? Now I can’t wait to put them to bed!

    DEEP THOUGHT

I think it should be a law that if you ever get sucked up into a tornado, whatever you can grab with your hands while you’re swirling around up there, you get to keep. ~ Jack Handy

    I can’t believe I’m saying this,

    I miss my monsters.

I want them home from school.

I miss going to the beach at the drop of a hat.

I guess I’m going to have to get back into that fall routine.

    I’m just not ready yet.

I’m done loafing around… no more wallowing in myself.

    Now what?
