Went to the Doctor today so he could draw some blood and was given a reprieve only to be told that on Monday I will have to STARVE myself and then get poked…

Do men need sex more often than women?
Men are often told that they have sex on the brain, and it appears as though this may be true.
In one recent study in Nature Neuroscience, a team of researchers had 28 men and women look at erotic photographs while an MRI took scans of their brain. The subjects looked at arousing photographs of heterosexual couples engaged in sexual activity, sexually attractive nudes of the opposite sex, and at pictures of men and women in non-sexual situations. When analyzing the MRI results, researchers found that two areas of the brain, the amygdala and the hypothalamus, were more activated in men than in women when viewing identical sexual stimuli.
So, do men have sex on the brain? Of course, and do bears shit in the woods?
We really didn’t need a team of researchers to answer this one.

I know all of the men out there are going to use this as an excuse now, but I have to say… I’m just not sure it’s true. I mean really?
We all know that men and women are stimulated differently… Right?
It seems to me that women could think about sex just as much as men if they had the right stimulation… Pictures do it for men, words do it for women.

Working today. I have MAILART to get out! Things are coming along well and I’m having such fun. I will make my first trip to the post office on Friday.
The kids are home for the week. It’s spring break here. I have fallen off of the wagon today and am right now in the process of downing a liter of Mt. Dew. I need the caffeine to deal with all of the “I’m bored” and “Mom, He/ She’s bugging me!” Oh the pressure of entertaining children.
Also, Easter is this weekend! My Lil Sis and Darling Nephew are coming up for the weekend. This means that I need to clean the house and learn how to use the GPS that she sent me so that I can go geocaching with her. Otherwise she won’t share with me… well maybe she will, but she shouldn’t, since she was nice enough to send it to me and I should figure out how to use it. I have all of the Easter Basket fixings except for the candy and the baskets. Something else that needs to be done.
Well the caffeine is kicking in, better take advantage of it. Ang
We took a small road trip to the Lansing Center yesterday for the Book and Paper sale.
For those of you who don’t know. Lansing, the capital of Michigan, is about a two and a half hour trip from my house. It was a great day for a drive. The sun was bright and the company was fine.

They were also having a Civil War authentic articles sale yesterday. It was fun to see the people in their garb. This is the first time I’ve ever asked people I didn’t know if they would pose for a picture, it was a lot easier then I thought it would be.

They call it a Rare Book and Paper sale because there are all kinds of print items for sale.
Maps, I never realized how beautiful maps could be.
Magazines, all kinds from Movie to Sportsman magazines and everything in between.
My favorite were the post card and pictures catalogs. I wasn’t the only one, the stands were all packed with people. They had huge files of card and photos, with post cards from all over the country, holiday cards, and pictures of random people.
I didn’t get any pictures of these stands, I was to busy looking, trying to find a treasure.
Everything was filed in order by the exhibiter, which made it difficult, because there was no standard system. I was looking for Bearded Lady cards. Sometimes I would have to check under circus, sometimes sideshow, sometimes circus exhibits.
I didn’t find any this trip. I did find two very cool fat lady cards and a ton of midget and tall people cards, which I don’t collect but they are interesting to look at. I also found a ton of pin up cards that Andy would have loved, Unfortunately I’m not hemorrhaging money so I couldn’t get him any. *sigh*
Pictures of some of the stalls. It was a little much at times, very loud and there was so much to see. I was definitely on sensory over load.
NOW, My favorite find of the whole show: A first edition copy of Treasure Island. One of my favorite books. Illustrations by N.C. Wyeth… I actually like his work. The Kidnapped copy is also a first edition but it has been repaired which decrease the value. Notice the handling instructions in the picture. These were all over the show.
It was a great time and two of my favorite people, my Aunt and Uncle came to the show with us and took us out to dinner afterwards.
It rained on the way home, but sometimes it’s nice to drive in the rain too.

That also means I get to stop at the GLASS SHOP! Yeah!
