I know I am a terrible tease!

I tell you about meeting a star and then I don’t share the juicy details…

(Calling them juicy is really taking some liberty, but I’m going to do it anyway.)

I don’t know what happened, but the excitement faded. *sigh*

Maybe it will come again.

A friend of mine asked me to take some pictures of his band. 

 I tried… It went okay, but shooting in a big showroom under weird lighting, it didn’t go as well as I would have liked. I tried.

 This is a few of the artsy ones that I liked… I got a lot of basic shots that were… ehhh…

I wish I hadn’t been so slow on this one, too much blur, but for some reason I still like it. I think it’s the expression on his face and the motion in the guitar and hand.

I know it’s a cliche but it was fun shooting into the big spot light.

There were four other musicians in the band and I took shots of them too.

It was fun and I’d like to do it again, next time hopefully the lighting situation will be kinder to me!

So some of you wonder what the point of the FRIENDS is…

Well I’ll tell ya.

On the left side of my page I have a widget showing all of my friends… these are people that I enjoy reading and communicating with… They are the people I find FUNNY, ENTERTAINING, and THOUGHT PROVOKING…

YOU GUYS…

The difference that I see between this and My Space friends is that there is a chance to know each other here.

Doesn’t it figure that if I like you, that someone who likes ME will like you?!

Look at it as advertising for your site…

HOWEVER I don’t like it when people ask to be my friend and don’t sub to me… it means they have no intention of reading my posts or getting to know me. Where is the friendship in that?

Maybe we don’t use the friends widget enough? For today I think I well go and try to visit some of my friends friends…  Who knows who I’ll meet!

OH also… it isn’t a numbers game… the longer you are on Xanga the more people you tend to “collect” . People use Xanga  as needed… which is as it should be. Sometimes they post daily and other times it will be months… Just because someone becomes busy with real life doesn’t mean I am ditching them as a friend… I watch carefully for their occasional post and say hello when I can, always happy to hear from them …

COMMENTS… People say comments equal love… I think foot prints mean love… I mean after all, sometimes there just isn’t anything to say.

Today I was waiting for the hammer of inspiration to hit me on the head and give me the words I needed for a post.

Well of course it wasn’t selfish of her… I mean I hardly ever need it.  Except for section three… and do you really NEED a brain for that?

The great thing about Xanga is that we’re able to reach out and form a community of sorts, with people we may have never met other wise. I’m sure I’m not telling you all anything you don’t know. But the warm fuzzy feelings we receive when we find a person we can share a brain with… Those are just priceless.

So I made a sketch of our brain… I’m thinking The Great Piratess will like it. I hope she likes it, She can alter it when it’s her turn to get it back… (Man you wouldn’t believe some of the stuff she shoves in here… I’m sure she feels the same way. I mean a six hour Monty Python marathon… What was I thinking?!)

Making Featured Content isn’t always that fun any more. We all know that it isn’t necessarily about what’s in the post that get’s it there.

I often get on Featured in the low twenties and I think ‘Oh that’s cool. I might meet some new people.’ But I do have to say some of the people who come by are ones I would normally avoid like the plague. Some though have become people I enjoy reading on a regular basis. People who let me peek into a glimpse of their lives and are kind enough to look into mine.

I feel so blessed that you all allow me to do that. That you come and leave comments that make me laugh and brighten my day. That you give helpful advice, and often provide views into worlds I would never have an opportunity to experience otherwise.

So it was a thrill to make the top ten… now the only place to go is number one and I don’t think I’m up for it truthfully, besides this Dan guy seems to have it covered. I have to tell you guys though… I’m a little worried about you all… The highest I have ever been before was #15 and that was my resolutions post about not setting myself on fire. Now you make me hit #10 with GROSS FOODS… Hmmm… Should I be concerned? NAH!

SIENNACHARTREUSE- an original painting by ANGI1972 from flyingfrog studios…because I know she would like it.

FROGSONG- a new computer, she needs it.

MEGANBARNARD- the best digital camera I could find…and inner peace, because it was requested.

BABIESONE 1963- matching winter coats for her and her babies.

AUNTLADA- a new blue coat, and tolerance for stupid people. oh a weekend out of the cold for her and (her) the heckler…

HAPPYDEVIANT- Her own personal gym… that she can invite any one she wants to, that’s open whenever she wants where she can get her groove on whenever she wants and tape it for all to enjoy. lol  I meant the dancing kind…minds out of the gutter people… *SIGH* man I thought I was immature… lol

LILMS-SASSY- a new house and a live in nanny.

JA OLSEN- book selection, bubble bath and free babysitting…

MACGILLICUDY- a gift card to the Brewing Company and the time and ambition to finish his book.

RUBYMAY1029- a garbage can with wheels on it…

SHIRLANN- a personal assistant, to do the organizing.

SPYING MOM- a book full of immature words like, well she knows what they are…

HAYNES94- unlimited airmiles so she can go whereever she wants when ever she wants oh an Nana’ house.

SHACKPACKER- a weekend here in TC for he and his lovely wife with chartered fishing trips from Captain(myPOP) lots of good food and good fun with my family… That would be a gift for us too…

If I haven’t listed you it’s because your harder then I thought… Or you might be on the previous post… I’m working on it. Don’t forget, I’m sending WORLD PEACE to everyone too…

  So I was shopping the other day and I saw these and of course thought  how perfect they would be for my friend BB61 for Christmas…but since I can’t send them to him, I’m sure he doesn’t give out his address to just any lunatic, which I am… I thought I’d post them here… It started me thinking… What else would I get for my friends on Xanga… so I did my Christmas shopping early and here are all of your gifts… If you don’t like them that’s okay, you don’t have to shove them to the back of your closet or anything in this case it really is only the thought that counts. lol So here we go…

For ByThePowerofshoes I of course got her more shoes… Comfortable ones since the only comfy shoes I think she has are UGH’s and I like these…I looked for a Three is Company box set…but the shoes are safer…

For Percy…because I think he’d enjoy it and I couldn’t find an evening out with Jason Shwartzman(SP) on ebay for him…so this will have to do…besides some day I think he might have a coffee table book of his own.

For Rizz…because I know she hasn’t gotten one for herself yet and I think she needs it… I also saw cute little gloves with smily faces on the fingers so she can flip someone off in a polite way if their bugging her on the bus…but alas…the picture wouldn’t download from my camera…

For my friend Rach, because she wants it so badly and since we’re not dealing in reality, I can afford it so why not. lol

For my friend Jason…because he really needs a chic and he can take a joke… also I just haven’t found anything good enough yet.

For My friend Beth I would make a beautiful mosaic garden bench. I had a picture but I can’t make it go where I want it to…and I’m getting frustrated. lol One I made would be way better, so it doesn’t matter.

I haven’t forgotten anyone, but boy there are a lot of you, it’s a lot of shopping to do, You simply can’t expect me to do it all in one post… Give me a day or two… I’m sure I’ll find more.

Oh and because I really like you all and I think we all deserve it I would give us

WORLD PEACE… really shouldn’t that be enough. Your friend Ang
