I’m still loving things in the up close.

Sometimes the imperfections you find up close can make even a weed  more beautiful.

SUMMER HEAT

It’s 95 degrees out today and I am enjoying it.
When the monsters get home from school we are hitting the beach.

I see poppies everywhere and I wish I had some…

Maybe next summer.

I saw Cooper enjoying the water at Lake Bellaire.

By July maybe it will be warm enough to swim in. *sigh*

I saw lots of dandelions and couldn’t decide which to focus on so I thought I’d try something different…

I don’t think I’ll do it again… at least not on purpose!

I saw my daughter driving me nuts and trying to ruin my shot…

or DID she?

I saw these beautiful daisies all sparkly with dew…

but I couldn’t get the sparkles to show!

I don’t know what it is but my whites are always washed out and overexposed…

I am going to beg my brilliant brother in law for help on how to fix this when we go to Detroit next weekend.

Something I haven’t seen in a year, but am seeing soon is SEEDSOWER!

She called to say she is on the road and headed this way. I can’t wait!

I am sure you are going to be sick of seeing what I saw because we are going to do so much!

I once again play geocaching tag along.

I can’t fool you though, you know I love it.

I get to see so many COOL things.

I can’t decide which I like best.

They are just slightly different.

It was a good day, long, but good.

Saturday the Cherry Festival begins.

I can’t believe it’s that time already!

I will be going here and there, life just keeps getting busier.

I have MORE… but I’ll spare you.

What are you doing for the 4th?

I will be breaking out the tripod and getting the kids to do some light writing!

The kids and I had an entire day out.

We did the Grass River hike.

We saw two gartner snakes, Charlie was upset with me for not letting him catch them.

Until…

We went to the cabin and they let the kids play with Zelda…

If Charlie had picked up the gartner snake, Zelda would have smelled it on his hands, thought he was food and tried to eat him…

So he forgave me, but let me know the next snake he saw he would be picking it up.

These guys were out in full force today, all over the board walk, but always three of four feet in front or behind us.

It was  good day…

I didn’t really feel much like taking pictures though.

It was more fun to walk the trail, dangle my feet in the water of the river and enjoy my children.

So summer begins.

I thought I would take a page from my friend thenarrator and do a linking tour through what I found of interest today.

BB61 takes us to The Devil’s Den. mlbncsga shares my love of a good road trip and teaches me a word I plan on using a lot “suvate!” Streetphotos doesn’t mess with farmers’.fauquet celebrates a friends life. My hubbies favorite cartoon strip lately I love when he reads it to me.(He does the voices. shhh…don’t tell him I told you.)

That was fun! I might have to try that again sometime.
