Day 2! Somebody stop me!
I was very excited because I found the Xanga App for my iPad and I thought I would be able to post from it…
But alas… I am too brain challenged at the moment to figure it out.
I did however learn how to get pictures from the iPad onto Xanga… so.
This is the oven I stand in front of five days a week, for two to three hours a day, sometimes four or five hours on holidays.
It’s a little messy right there because I had just finished icing scone and frosting cinnamon rolls on the ledge and I hadn’t wiped it off yet.
Oven stats: It holds 24 sheet pans if I load it up, usually I only have 18 in it at a time, I rotate things in and out.
Lately, I have been eyeballing other commercial ovens covetously… it’s starting to concern me. :-S
This is some of what I bake in the fancy oven. I didn’t do any of the breads, just the sweets.
As I’m writing this it occurs to me that I didn’t get a shot of the sticky buns, cinnamon rolls, coffee cakes and the challah, I bake all of those too. Ah well, I have 29 more posts left to do that in!
What has been your favorite job?

Are you working at a bakery? It looks professional.
I love scones—at Starbucks–blueberry ones.
Everything looks great. Now I am hungry.
I read your profile again, but did not see chef as one of your career choices.

Mmmmmmmmmm……
@ANVRSADDAY – i am the morning baker at a lovely little artisian bakery. I was a stay at home mama when i started my xanga, i guess i should update it!
@mickyj09 – me too so far! I am loving replying to people and getting my subs on it, i still ned to figure out how to do a full blown post on it though… Or not. it’s getting closer.. Aren’t you getting excited yet?
@angi1972 - Thanks. Also, I did not mention that my wife and never married daughter bought I-Pads. I have a Toshiba notebook and Cruz Tablet. I am considering my next toy.

My favorite job was in the R&D lab of an electronics company; alas the job was moved to Korea.
I had lots of fun jobs when I was a teenager, but my favorite was as the receptionist and substitute teacher at my dance studio. I felt so grown up running that front desk, and teaching the 3 year olds ballet was just the most adorable thing ever. If I tugged on my leotard (which is, let’s face it, not the most graceful ballerina move), the whole class would tug on their own leotards. Hysterical!
The oven looks very nice – I can’t imagine wanting a different one! My favorite job was working in the animal clinic for Dr. Davis. Those were the days!
Thank-you for posting your work pictures. I can almost convince myself that I can smell the goodies. What a wonderful place to work. I’ve pretty much loved all my jobs and also enjoy retirement. I could go on for days…. meanwhile I gotta go find something sweet for breakfast. Wish I had one of your scones.
I would be big as that oven if I worked at a bakery. The bread would be irrestible, I’m afraid. My favorite job has been being a mom. I was a carhop at Shoneys in highschool and that was FUN. Peace
awww…I was gonna say mom too – but my next favorite job was the summer I got to life guard at the Wheeler Pool…and my favorite Shoneys thing was strawberry pie, well except for the car hops and bumps
I Love Your Ovens, cooking at Waffle House is on my bucket list, not that they have ovens – they just have grills
