Still playing around
I’m still playing around with my new lens.
This is a tree farm that hasn’t gotten around to taking down the big guy yet.
I’m finding the lens a little hard to get used to. (Not in a bad way.)
You can’t tell but I was right in front of him. That stake in the ground was beside me…
This is Torch lake in Alden.
I love the flairs I was getting from the sun.
I know they aren’t great pictures.
It was just fun taking them and I thought I would show you guys what I was up to.
This weekend I get to test my new toy out on Detroit city!
I can’t wait!

Hi, Angi! I’m glad you are enjoying your new camera accessory! Sheesh, much longer, and the tree farm might as well just leave up Santa! LOL Have fun this weekend!
Kathi
That is one cool lens!
The first one made me think of a very realistic snow globe! LOL.
Very cool.
I love that last one. I think that the lens should be fun with buildings as a subject!!!
You are so creative, Angie! I know once you get the hang of this new lens, we will all enjoy seeing what you come up with!
Cool! How did you do that?
All they need is snow and it would feel like a snow globe. I get over how crisp they are.
it doesn’t look like it distorts that much
@Babyboomerjill - Can you see how the light post is bent? Standing back from an object it just acts as a wide angle, that’s why you don’t notice much distortion, if I get right on top of something though, especially in peoples faces, you will notice it a little more.
I’m not a photographer-but those pictures look pretty good to me! A new camera is always fun!
Greatness, as an artist is born of determination and perseverence. You will have some great ones coming soon, of that I am certain.
I really loved that first one. I am looking forward to seeing your pics of Detroit!
Hello, my best friend’s cousin has recently gone missing and I was wondering if you could please create a post linking back to my latest entry. I know you have many subscribers and I am trying to get as many people as possible to see her face so that hopefully she comes home safe:

thank you <3
Glad you are having fun with your new toy. Have fun in Detroit will be looking for those photos
Having fun is one of the classic ways to create. I read a book about the development of civilization in which the author argues that messing around is the mother of invention, not necessity. “What can I do with this?” drives many inventions. So play away! And keep showing up with the results!
Safe travels, and enjoy Detroit!
Cool. It’s like a snow globe with out the snow!
Great pictures, Angi. I hope your new toy will produce many more like this.
Detroit will be the perfect place to play with your new lens. You can never get far enough away from tall buildings with other lenses. Can’t wait to hear about your trip.
@angi1972 - yes, I have the fish lenses on Kodak but I don’t use it often but I like your lenses much better.
The second picture is amazing with the twisted pole of the lamp !
Enjoy your stay in Detroit.
Love
Michel
Love that second one. Have fun!
