ART O MAT
Made it back safe and sound.
Had much fun and did a few things…
One of which was go to the ART O MAT!
We went to the Detroit Comics one again, next time I will look up the traveling machine and go there…
I like it better… it has that nifty bullet hole in it.
OOPS… Some of you sill don’t know what an Artomat is…
They are restored cigarette machines that now dispense ART as penance for their past lives.
SO… What’d I get? I know you can’t wait to see…
I went for this series, it was called Bearded Bunnies… How could I not go for it…
I am disappointed though, it looks much more like a cat then a bunny.
I am not a cat person.
This one I am MUCH happier with.
The Detroit Derby Girls all did a few pieces and this is one of their series.
Not only did I get a cool skate art print, my box also had some Derby girl swag in it!

They are so cool. I am glad I looked at your collection, I was thinking they were matches, but I was pleasantly suprised. There are a few in my area, I may have to take a trip and check them out.

cool, i do remember the cig machines they had in hotels. I still have all my comics from when I was a kid. I have star wars 1,2,3,5. they are in good condition.

@mercyless1 - Right now they are all propped up and in a pile in their boxes on a shelf in my studio… I have plans to mount them in some cool frames and hang them on the wall… but somehow other tings keep having to get finished first. *sigh*
Hooray i am not a cat person either. They are not playful enough for my liking and they can be spiteful. And they keep raising their tail and showing their bumholes which is rather rude on their part.
That ciggie machine looks damn funky though. I don’t even smoke and i’d have one.

Wow, this is the most interesting thing I have seen in a very long time.
So interesting! I’m still trying to get my mind around art in a vending machine. And how do the artists make money on this? Am I a total sell-out for even asking that? I am, you know, an artist who is actually trying to support a family from the talent.

That bunny/cat looks a lot like BATTLE CAT from the old He-Man cartoon.

I think its a direct copy of battle cat! lol. The helmet, the colors, the stripes all match Battle Cat from He-man well at least according to my investigation! lol. they just made Battle cat into BAttle Bunny Cat instead!
