I start my new job at 5 tomorrow morning, my normal shift will start at 4.
I am supposed to be sleeping now. (shhh)
If you guessed bakery…
You were right! It’s a bread bakery.
I will never have to buy bread again!
Why do I feel like I should put “As God is my witness” in front of that?
Something else kind of fun happened today.
Just because I like being a big tease…
I’ll tell you about it later.
What’s the earliest you can get to sleep?

Meanie.
Both photos bring me utmost peace, and I was searching for that. Thank you, Angi. And I wish you all the best in your new job. 5am is a ridiculous time to start work though!
Love ya!
@VersaGratis - But it is so nice when I don’t have to worry about not being with the kids! lol Actually my shift will be 4 to 9… I will have to get up at 3:15… now that is scary. lol Thank you! I hope you always have peace. (hug)
My Mom worked in a bakery when I was in high school, she worked these kind of crazy hours too!!!
Angi your pictures are always so wonderful, they always make me stop to ponder them!!!!
Good luck with your new job!!!
Oh just think of all you will learn. Bread is a handy thing to know. Mmmmm. And I am gloating because I guessed right. Have a good first day!
The earliest I can get to sleep is about 12:30 AM. I could never work in a bakery.
Earliest? 9:30 maybe. But I have to be at work around 4 too. Hope it’s easier for you to get up that early than it is for me! Best of luck with the new job,Angi!!!!!!!
and you’re still “the best”.
About 10 to midnight is the earliest, but right now it’s close to 3am. I went to bed and my brain kicked into high gear so I got up again. But I swear I’m going to bed now, so I can say I was asleep before you were up for work. I could never be the donut guy or the bread guy, to much of a night owl.
Love the light house photo!
Way too early — but it just might be worth it. Bakeries are the best . . .
congrats on the new job. i LOVE bread. breads of any and all kinds. at restaurants i fill up on way too much bread before i even eat my main entree
that’s a sweet lighthouse. nice shot
I would become a cow if I worked in a bakery…YUMMY!!
Glad you have a new job. Hope you like it a lot. Just don’t indulge in tasting every thing you make.
Yea for the new job!!!
Good luck!

I like your pics. I know Shirlann would like your lighthouse. Happy baking tomorrow.
Enjoy the bakery… watch your fingers in those machines though…
Good luck at the new job! I love the light tower pic.
I keep trying to get a job at the donut shop here, but for some reason I think they are suspicious of my motives…I don’t know why
good luck-I love the lighthouse btw!
You will smell so good when you get home! You know the smell of baking bread will sell a house faster than anything (including a St. Joseph statue). In fact if you smell like bread, you could probably sell anything to anybody!
I hope you love your new job. But don’t let your job get in the way of your blogging.
Anji,
Congrats on the new job
. If I worked in a bakery, I’d be afraid I’d eat the profits! LOL! Seriously, I’m happy for you. Jobs are hard to find these days.
The earliest I go to bed is around 9:00 PM if I’m REALLY tired. The problem is that if I go to bed that early, i often wake in the middle of the night.
The quality of you photos never ceases to amaze me! You truly have a gift for that.
Congratulations on your new job, Angi! I hope it’s not hellacious getting used to those hours! I hope you get to have some fresh bread and coffee when you get there, to wake up!
I am a bona fide insomniac! 12:30 or 1 is the absolute earliest I can fall asleep. Nonetheless, I have to get up no later than 6:30, so I just don’t get a lot of sleep, lol.
Kathi
Great to know that you are doing well for your new job. My sister-in-law baked bread every morning for her daughter before she got married. I know that it is a hard job. Now her daughetr has got married and she doesn’t need to do it. She can sleep more.
A bakery? I think I gain poundage just SMELLING bread baking! Good luck with that!
I don’t think I could get up that early, especially when most of my other work is done evenings. Denmark has awesome bakeries! What is the specialty of the one where you work?
Absolutely nothing better than good, fresh baked bread. Yummy.
So I guess I never will figure/find out what the self-portrait thing was all about…
9 pm. but then I get up.
Oi. I used to work in a bakery. It was my mother’s, we all worked there. From 4 in the morning till all hours of night sometimes. I hope you like it better than I did!
NICE!!!! Save some bread for me… oh yeah, I wanna live in that lighthouse
Congrats! It’s always fun to start a new adventure!
Sure hope they let you take your camera in to work so we get to see all about it. And that the route to and from is full of photo ops. And while I’m at it, I hope you enjoy the job. What brought it on?
I knew you weren’t going to be a landscaper.
Oh you’ll do great at your new job. I know for certain because YOU ROCK!!
You’ll be going to work as I would be getting to sleep.
I love that lighthouse!
I’m afraid that the past year or so the earliest I can get to sleep is about 3am. I am one weird lady, I know. I swear I’m not a vampire… :p
Mornin Glorie….I go to sleep as soon as I sit down on the couch to watch tv….takes about 3 minutes…just long enough to watch a commercial
…. My Mama says my hands are to heavy to be a baker…..
….I told her my hands weren’t any heavier than hers and she could bake great bread…
…go figure….ilym
Oh lucky you…getting to work at a bakery. That would be almost as much fun as a candy shoppe or ice cream store! Not sure I’d like getting up at that hour but I’m sure you will adjust.
Usually a few days of getting up early cures that whole going to sleep at night problem.
Good luck in your new job…
The earliest I can go to sleep is 9pm and I can managed getting up at anytime if I have too.
Congrats, on the job and guess many of the guesses were right on the mark. Hope your sleep system kicks into the new schedule easily for you. I don’t usually get sleepy enough to fall asleep till after 9:30 in the evening. Now H.H. on the other hand has a string attached from his eyelids to his backside. His eyes close every time he sits down. Never saw anyone who could fall asleep so fast. Hugs
