Good Day
It seems that most of our days in the summer are good days.
Sometimes I worry that we have too many good days.
Every day we go to the beach for about an hour.
The kids swim, dig and build castles while I take random pictures of this and that.
Today we went to an event with face painting.
Cooper asked them to give him a mustache and green beard.
I guess he likes mine so he wanted some facial hair of his own. ;-b
I have been taking a lot of gull shots lately.
I listened to two women complaining, their leathery brown skin shiny with oil, they sat hunched on their towels,smoking their cigarettes.
“Rats with wings, that’s all they are.” One said to the other and then she took another drag on her cigarette,while children played around them.
There is just something about birds in flight that is fun to me.
Maybe it’s just that they are there…
or maybe I am collecting wings so that I can take an image like this…
And cut it up and make some more flying frogs!

I think I will… One can never have too many flying frogs.
Well and of course then I will force you all to look at them… Don’t I always?!

I used to think bird watching was kinda, well, for the birds. I get it now. There’s some majestic beauty about flight, and the manner in which these animals carry it out. Really moving, when I get all emo about it.

you are quite the cut up…HAHAHA. magical moments now while they are young. And they are gaining the grounding for their whole life….really knowing they are loved; they can float….they will be supported…..and be able to support others…AmaZing

Rat with wings, what the flip is wrong with them. I love the call of seagulls it reminds me of the beach. There is nothing better then tanning until you get the leather look and puffing cigs down! I bet the seagulls were looking down and saying “look at those cig smoking rats with two legs”!!!

Maybe I’m just too new a reader here, but your photos seem to be getting better and better lately. The frog gave me the impression of trying to be queen of something…I don’t know why.

I love Seagulls, I wish I was one. Live at the beach, sit in the water, watch the sun rise (or set depending of course) each day. Oh it’d be lovely.
