This is one of my favorite photos ever.
I am thinking about it because it’s by Diane Arbus, one of my favorite photographers and she’s from NEW YORK!
Right now my brain is full of Beth, barns, amish carriages, Lancaster County, Times Square and New York City.
Eleven more days and I can’t wait!
OH SO about the photo… Most peoples first response is that its creepy…
But really.. really look at it…
Do you think it’s creepy?
When you NEED to take pictures…
but gas prices are INSANE.
Go outside and find a tentworm that escaped the massacres…
Then ask him to pose for pictures.
For his cooperation, release him with his life.
Well that and we don’t want to squash him in front of the three year old.
THEN…
You lay down in the wet grass and look for anything interesting…
Anything… anything at all.
When it doesn’t show up, you go back inside,
get dry clothes on,
drink hot chocolate,
and hope gas is cheaper tomorrow.
I am feeling blank today so I am taking some inspiration from YOU my fellow Xangans.

It made me think about MY alter ego…
What is my alter ego like? Mine wouldn’t be afraid to be sexy, she would be decisive and ambitious.
What would I name her? Maybe Deliahla something… I will have to give it more thought.
I have ideas brewing…

We were standing in the driveway tonight while Ben was mowing the lawn. I noticed Cooper had a small scratch on his foot that was bleeding.
Me- “Oops you have a boo boo! When Daddy gets done he will put you in the sink and clean it and make it feel better.”
Cooper gasping as he notices the small trickle of blood on his foot. “OH A BOO BOO!” His lip comes out and concern is on his little face. “Will it have to come off?”
Me-”The boo boo? No daddy will clean it up and put a bandaid on it.”
Cooper- Still very concerned, clutching his foot to his tummy, a small wavering in his voice ”My foot! Will my foot have to come off?!?”
Me-”No sweetie Grandpa is just kidding when he says that. We will wash it up and it’ll be good as new.”
Cooper-”OH good!” goes back to riding his tricycle…
FOR THE RECORD-
They can NEVER spend too much time with Grandpa… Even if he does threaten to cut off random digits or appendages!
My count down has begun! Only eighteen days left until I begin my journey!
What journey? (You ask, intensely interested.)
My road trip to see SEEDSOWER! We will be taking a side trip to New York too.
Why New York? (You ask, with intense interest.)
To visit the Xanga team of course… and to do what else? Well we don’t know yet. I am sure we will find something, suggestions are being taken.
I don’t know if I am more excited to visit the Amish community and barns and land around Beth’s greenhouse, or to wander the BIG city. Isn’t it wonderful that we get to do it ALL!
