The thing about the water camera is I never know what I’m going to get.

It’s a surprise when the images are downloaded.

It was an odd day, raining and sunny all at once.

A very good day to use the water camera.

Its hard not being able to control things, but sometimes I enjoy the blurry images.

    LIFE IS GOOD.

I’m still trying to get everything ready for my trip.

When you go on a road trip, what is one thing you always take with you?

  • I always try to take the trifecta: Ipod, cell, and camera!

    Where is that? :)

  • nice pics!

good music is a must to survive a road trip!

  • …Bar all the standard items, I can’t say I take anything particularly special. My Dad though always used to try and get a novel to read that was set in the area/country we were travelling too.

  • @adifferentkindofbeautiful - Its  East Bay… in Traverse City Michigan.

  • I always take a backpack of paper/pen (must haves at all times), books, snacks, sunblock – those kinds of things.

Looks like you’re having a nice start to the summer!

    Kathi

  • I always bring a camera. Although I am quite fond of disposible cameras I feel it’s like a gift when you get the pictures back. You never know what you’re going to get.

Although I’ll admit one thing I must bring is a stuffed animal. >.>; I can’t help it. It’s like having a friend with you to enjoy the trip.

  • Road trip?? Good music! Love the pics….

  • LOVE the feather on water images!

There really is no “always” when I travel. I’d like to bring my pillow, although it rarely happens, but I do usually bring along a book to read, and a pen so I can write in the margins. . .S

  • I like to take my camera and at least two books. you never know when you’re going to get stuck somewhere and need a good read to kill the time. or even a bad read :)

I love the feather pictures…and at the moment I would kill to see rain or water. we’re back in the upper 90′s and not a drop of rain in sight!

  • Great pictures Angi!!!

I have a few things that are musts for trips, first clean underwear- My Mama would be proud! next is my camera, my MP3 player and charger and a good book or two. When I am going to visit and stay with someone who I have not visited before I try to take a small token gift from my home town or state!

I know you will have a wonderful time together, I am so envious and will be taking a trip to visit xanga friends soon I hope!!!

  • Such great photos, Angi!!!  I’m really liking the blurry ones–they look very groovy, kind of like they’re underwater.

When I go on a road trip, I always take anti-anxiety medication.  It’s a must have in my world.

  • Love the rain drops!
I always take wet ones,my camera,CD’s ,cell phone ,glasses, 2 books and fart spray! (I have books and fart spray here ….don’t overpack!)

  • music… doritos, and vitamin water!!! (which has changed from mountain dew when I was much younger!)

love the pictures… maybe that’s where we’ll go w/ my extra time… the beach!!!

  • what kind of water camera do you have ang? and how do you like it?

  • Hmm… I recall this question being asked before, but I don’t remember answering it.  I’d say music is essential (i.e. CDs of certain types of music, not just the radio).

  • @seedsower - Fart spray???

  • @WinsomeONE - LYSOL to Go…fart cover up.For use in public restrooms when I need to …well fart.

  • @seedsower - I heard that women don’t fart, they fluff.  (Just like they don’t sweat, they glow.)

  • @WinsomeONE - According to that I am a man!

  • Great pictures, Ang!…

If I want to take a really good road trip… I take my motorcycle!
    dan

  • great photos!

    i always take a camera.

  • I never get to go on trips.  Love the pics

  • Awesome pics….can I be a little corny here – the one thing I always take with me…my toothbrush!!!!!  LOL!
Love ya Angi, hope you had a good weekend! (((HUGS)))

  • I love the raindrops on the water! When I “grow up” (where my camera is concerned!) I wanna be like you and Seedsower! On a road trip you have to have good music and snacks. Also, things to occupy the kids so there is a minimum of whining.

  • A huge suitcase filled with everything I could possibly need.

  • “Knock, knock!”
    “Who’s there?”
    “Doors.”
    “Doors who?”
Doors from Japan which you apparently forgot to highlight!”

  • I take Trusty

Isn’t the water a little cold yet?

  • Beautiful pictures, Angi!

I really love the one with the raindrops in what looks to be part of the water seperated by a sand bar!

    Road trip?…camera!

  • @SaadiaOnline - The lens was actually wet with water when I took those… so that is why!

@GERKshinobi -  It’s a little gfm 5megapix… It has too settings, close and far. lol I don’t use it often at all so it gets me by. So far I like the images its given me… kind of like a Holga… thier crappy but you love them… know what I mean? lol

@seedsower - Fart spray?! Well don’t forget that when we’re on the bus! lol

  • my big stuffed dog, he loves to travel !……………………(fart spray??)

  • Yay for fart spray!

  • Great shots.   I always take a fishing rod and a small tackle box.

  • I love love that second pic! I will probably make a list and check it twice when I go someplace. I try to take a camera, cell, $ (at least .50 in quarters on me all the time, back from the days when there were these things called pay phones) and tissues.

  • I like blurry pictures.
I take a driver with money.

  • Dear Angie,

Haven’t been on a trip in a long while, but I’d have to say my videocamera, which goes with me on my “excursions”.

I love mustard and mayo on my sandwiches.

Michael F. Nyiri, poet, philosopher, foof

  • Mornin Glorie……. I always take a good map, this cassette tape I mixed back in 1977 with amazing driving music and my sister….now the important thing is my sister brings the best stuff like the camera – the greatest snacks – and the cell phone – we do not have fart spray though – we just blame that on Leroy  …..I’m so jealous..

  • Generally I always bring something to drink, my camera, a little cash, and perhaps my kids. Yeah, don’t want to forget them…although I have been tempted to trade them at one of those tourists traps for some Walnut bowls on occasion.

  • Definately the camera!!! I always say that the best souvineer is pictures. They last long after the knick knacks have been broken.

I like bringing my iPod… and I like the person who said that they bring the motorcycle. We try to whenever we can!

What kind of water camera do you have?

  • I always take a book to read, a night light for the hotel room, and the ever present can of air spray!  I’m with you seedsower – don’t travel without it.

  • I take my iPhone.

    Those are really cool pictures.

  • Cool pictures…I like especially like the picture with the water ripples from the rain drops…pretty.

When on a road trip I make sure not to forget my mp3 player stuffed full of music and some podcasts.  I get motion sickness reading on a bus or in cars…so music will have to do and it works…hours of entertainment to match my every mood.

  • as always….. the pictures are absolutely gorgeous!!!  what’s the one thing i ALWAYS take with me when i travel?  my journal… well that and a pen.  a journal would be kind of useless without a pen, now wouldn’t it?  tee hee!!!!

  • Now that I scrapbook I take my camera, but I not an expertise like you.  Your pics amaze me.

  • I’ve seen you here and there on Xanga for well, awhile now and finally stopped over…loved the pictures-especially the rainy day one at the beach.

  • Cool shots!

I always take my noise maker— I can’t sleep without it!
