One Person’s Weeds…
Another one of my favorite things to see in the spring.
White cherry blossoms and a dandelion carpet!
I have to be quick if I see these, often times I will go back and the farmers will have mowed the orchard.
I went to the shop covered in yellow dandelion dust today.
It was nice. This is another one of those things I never can capture just the way I see them…
I am open to any advice about that.
If you have any ideas on what I should do differently!
Did you see anything today that made you stop and take a minute?

DOOR and a Day Out!
My father in law took a great Door shot for me.
A nice stable door.
Seedsower has a great post with DOORS in it up!
It is my day of freedom, off to the Glass Company I go!

MY ALMA MATER
My Sister brought this to our attention over the weekend.
We only live twenty minutes from the town we grew up in and went to school at… but it had escaped our attention.
Of course my little sister pays attention to things like BALLS and CASTRATION… hehehe…
The info tag on the video says this…
In a frightened jealous rage local superintendent orders the castration of the town elk.Somehow I don’t think that was his issue… but it makes for a very great info tag…The Elk statue wasn’t there when D, my hubby and I went to school… Other wise I am MORE THEN sure that my sister would have dragged me off to help her perform some horrendous stunt like painting them a different color or tying a ribbon around them…As we watched and discussed the video, the fact that a good prank could no longer be played was lamented… I mean what else could be done… they have been removed… UNLESS…Someone should say… ADD THEM BACK ON… AGAIN… and AGAIN… and AGAIN…Hmmm… I’m not in high school any more… and because my Sister is all grown up and responcible like I know she won’t risk it… BUT if there is any one out there brave enough… I want pictures! -
FLASH MOB! FLASH MOB!
We were on our way. We waited patiently until 12:58…
This was the veiw on the way in…
We had our Red Wings, Tigers and Pistons paraphernalia.
The boys are typical boys.
Soon there were a few here…
and a few there…
No one talking to each other…
Then at one a girl with a bucket walked to the middle of the square…
She set the bucket down and the cry “CARDS!” went out.
People started pouring out of the buildings and side entrances…
There was chatter here and chatter there.
Food in the form of Blow Pops was distributed to every individual.
Muggles (non geocachers) stood on the edge of the crowd gawking and craning their necks trying to figure out what was happening.
Took the buddy shot while D networked with friends.
Took a quick group shot.
The time was called as 1:13…
A quick drawing for a flash mob coin was done and then it was 1:15.
A group “BYE” was given and we dispersed.
Not two minutes later the square went back to looking like
THIS…
It was fun, took almost no time out of our day and we got to confuse people.
It was a good day.
I actually have a back up posts for a change.
A glass blowing experience, ArtoMat visit and more DOORS.
Hope you guys enjoyed the flash mob!
Next time I’ll meet you there!

A Day Out with Thomas and some DOORS!
There were twelve of us.
My Inlaws have a membership…
for those of you worried about cost and only Cooper went on the train from my immediate family…
That cut the cost down. Everyone still got to do all of the other fun activities.
Greenfield Village is a wonderful place if you ever have an opportunity to go, do it!
Cooper and Sam ready for the ride.
While they took the train ride I found a few DOORS!
FINALLY!
The Depot door
Inside the depot door
Excitement to meet Sir Topem Hat
What all the fuss was about.
We also went to the crafts section and watched the pottery and glass blowing being done,
that is a whole other blog waiting to be done.
We went to the Firestone farm and we rode the giant carousel.
Just because… well who would NOT love taking carousel pictures?!
I have so many more pictures to share with you guys, quite a few more DOORS,
but I don’t want to OVERLOAD you.
If I haven’t already.
My batteries started going dead very early so I had to go sparingly with my camera work.
but I had enough juice for one last picture on the way home…
Everyone was a little tired out, it was worth it!
Hope your day was even half as fun as ours was!
Still rocking the Motor City!
