Today is the day the world was blessed with me!
It has started off WONDERFULLY and I am looking forward to a nice date with my honey later…
BUT I sent the power cord to my computer off to work with Ben so I would get some work done… NOW my battery is almost dead!
AHHHHH!!!
As soon as the panic passes I’ll be fine and I’ll get my work done… right?

Inner Monologues. We all have them.
Most of my day is spent with a three year old, so sometimes the only intelligent conversations I have all day are done in my head, well half way intelligent…
Oh, by the way, if you are having an inner DIALOGUE, seek help.
Lately the things I have been saying to myself haven’t been very nice. I would NEVER talk about or to someone else the way I do to myself.
I am trying to change that and motivate myself… I am telling myself I’m a goddess, a woman of worth, with many talents, who unfortunately looks like Willie Aames at the moment, but that will change in a day or two, or a week…
Right now, I am considering the projects I have in front of me and telling myself I can do it! It’s a snap, nothing I haven’t done before. I just keep getting better at it.
I don’t think it’s working, but I’m going to keep trying.
After all if I’m not nice to myself who will be?

Most of you know we went to Detroit the weekend before last.
And MOST of you know that every time I go to Detroit,
I have to partake in my not so secret addiction…
There are now TWO machines in the Detroit area!
This time I went to the new one I had yet to visit.
It’s housed, for the moment, here, at Detroit Comics.
This one is in more of a rustic state then the other machine.

I was a little disappointed in the choices this time,
but they circulate fast, so I am sure they will be different the next time I make it to Detroit!

I have felt like a wicked witch all day.
I hate that feeling.
The 150 bulbs the kids and I planted last fall all came up.
Isabelle has said we need to plant at least another 150 this year.
I agree.
Every year Ben and I have to empty our trees of tent worms.
This year we were a little late and they ate half of one of my favorite apple trees. 
These were in the process of setting up another nest when we scooped them up and squished them.
I am not remorseful.
Isabelle posed for me in a field of mustard weed.
I only took a few shots before I had to move my car so the farmer could get his tractor out.
I think we’ll go back and try again later this week if it isn’t all mowed under.
We went in early evening too.
We’ll go earlier next time.
Notice she is still wearing her new shoes, even in the field.
Does any one know why I feel so crabby and mean lately?
I had birthday cake for breakfast this morning and I STILL felt mean.
What do you do to snap yourself out of it?
We went to the BBQ and ate under the pines.
With a few thousand other people.
Last years post is really much better…
Today also happened to be Isabelle’s birthday.
I can’t believe she’s eight…
I am SO OLD!

I am seriously beginning to wonder where my head was!
I’m sure she’ll get the hang of them,
I just hope it’s before she cracks it open…

I had a wonderful treat waiting for me in the mail today…
A surprise from Aloysius son!
It was addressed to Me and the kids so I waited patiently until they were all home and we opened it together!
It came in a very special envelope that looked like a special treasure box!
We opened it together and the big kids yelled “A THREE HUMP CAMEL!”
In actuality it is a Humpalumpalaff, something John has painted and I have admired repeatedly!
This is the first one, that he posted awhile ago.
It has always put me in mind of the book, Everyone Poops by Taro Gomi…
I have read the book at least a hundred times to my children… ”A one hump camel leaves a one hump poop. A two hump camel leaves a two hump poop… Just kidding! “ It only follows that a three hump camel leaves a three hump…
