FLASH MOB! FLASH MOB!
We were on our way. We waited patiently until 12:58…
This was the veiw on the way in…
We had our Red Wings, Tigers and Pistons paraphernalia.
The boys are typical boys.
Soon there were a few here…
and a few there…
No one talking to each other…
Then at one a girl with a bucket walked to the middle of the square…
She set the bucket down and the cry “CARDS!” went out.
People started pouring out of the buildings and side entrances…
There was chatter here and chatter there.
Food in the form of Blow Pops was distributed to every individual.
Muggles (non geocachers) stood on the edge of the crowd gawking and craning their necks trying to figure out what was happening.
Took the buddy shot while D networked with friends.
Took a quick group shot.
The time was called as 1:13…
A quick drawing for a flash mob coin was done and then it was 1:15.
A group “BYE” was given and we dispersed.
Not two minutes later the square went back to looking like
THIS…
It was fun, took almost no time out of our day and we got to confuse people.
It was a good day.
I actually have a back up posts for a change.
A glass blowing experience, ArtoMat visit and more DOORS.
Hope you guys enjoyed the flash mob!
Next time I’ll meet you there!

I am confused… What is a flash mob?
dan
btw, happy mother’s day!
Woohoo!
daaaaaaaaaaaang-I don’t even know what else to say
So many people!
@Danth - A flash mob is a designated meeting by a large group of people… usually there is something distinctive about them, in this case we all had sports stuff… from the Michigan teams… Everyone arrives at the same time stays for a very short period in this case fifteen minutes and then leaves at the exact same time. It is basically just a big way to confuse people… or suck them in to participating in your acctivities. lol
That was cool!! Happy Mothers Day!!
@Danth - THIS is my favorite example of what a flash mob is and can do…

your group was great…what fun!!…when i was 21, a bunch of us did a mini flash mob stunt…we all gathered at a snooty musician friend’s house, each armed with a traffic cone…when he answered the bell, we just walked past him, and proceeded to cordon off his music room with about 30 cones, and promptly, and silently, left…he was a lot more surprised, than angry, and eventually warmed up to the rest of us… i want to send a wish, from Laurel, and me, for a Happy Mother’s Day…hugs…animal
I love the pictures. Thanks for adding me. I hope to read and see more! Have a nice week.
I thought the Flash Mob event I went to was a blast as well, I’m glad there was one in your area you could participate in. We had ours in a popular park, plenty of people around to confuse. Geocaching is so much fun!!
i’m still confused
happy mothers day (a day late)
