  • At ends…

I have been thinking lately about THINKING…

    everything you think

I have come to the realization that the better I UNDERSTAND something the more likely I am to be good at it.

I know some of you are right now saying… well DUH!

I don’t know why I never really realized this before, I can only say that I didn’t.

I am not going to waste time wishing I had come to this realization earlier in life… I’m not.

I have signed up for two photography classes in May and I am excited.

Do you  know what I mean?

Is there something that you have a great understanding of? Maybe something you wish you had a better understanding of?

  • I wanna take photog classes :(

  • I wish I had a better understanding of MATH! I was telling my students today, that by teaching it to them, even I am understanding it better, lol. Like today, we learned volume. bleh. heh heh

  • @TheGreenPanther - I know! I wish you and Beth could go with me… somehow I just think it would be so much more fun!

I’ll take notes and share them.

  • @baychic - ME TOO! Math is something I always wish I had been able to comprehend, but anything that wasn’t super basic escaped me… *sigh*

  • @angi1972 - I thnk the three of us would have such a great time doing something like that.  Make sure you take good notes :D

  • women

  • i’m so glad that i “get” yoga. but maybe that’s not the same thing.

  • I think there are a lot of things people ‘know’ but don’t really ‘realize’. I do the same thing. I call them every day epiphanies and thank God every day I DO have them, because if I didn’t I’d be wandering around more clueless than usual. I don’t think I have a great understanding of anything, but I am grateful I am at least up to par with most folks on some things

  • @lilms_sassy - Oh YES! It is, I am sure… I bet you have a great understanding of your body and how it moves… that’s on my list too… I don’t want to be one of those old women who shuffles around because she can’t bend her knees!

  • Don’t believe everything you drink?

Cool to you for takin’ photog classes.

I know a lot about politics. I’m green about French cuisine. I embarrasses my self upscale.

Most recently here. I have a pedestrian palate.

    Regards

  • Lotsa luck and enjoy!

  • @Basilwire - OOo B! I’d love to embarrass myself there! Hope you had fun doing it… even if you went home and had hot dogs and chips later! ;-b

  • @angi1972 -

I’ve done it more than once, there. The staff giggles and brings me another bourbon.  If I could handle caviar I could rule the world. And they have a peaky toe crab thing, that’s never seen Alaska, much less Maryland.

    Thanks, and bon appetite.

  • Good luck in the classes….but you’re already the princess of photography!

  • I’ve never heard “don’t believe everything you think.” That’s cool.

  • I would like to fully grasp string theory…. and why I like cocoa puffs so much.

  • Yes, I know what you mean… you go for it girl! : )

  • RYC: Haha, thankyou so much, i’m glad you liked it. I’m not quite sure why exactly i’m widening the scope of my humiliation. Nevermind.

Hope alls well, and best of luck with the photography classes.

  • I love photography. I used to work in a photography studio, I did both of my daughter’s graduation pics. Very easy to do, and with the cost of senior pics and all, very much worth doing yourself!

I will have a DOOR pic for you tomorrow!!! It’s kinda late to blog tonight…

    Love ya! Tracy

  • Photography should be fun, Angi. I’m glad you’re deciding to take this step and learn more about it! I’m sure you’ll do well – your past photos have shown us your skills so far!

I wish I had a better understanding of God, and of men. Ha.

  • Good for you Angi!! I know you’ll enjoy it,you’re already so very good at it!!!

  • photography! tat’s interesting! go for it babe!

  • yay! good for you- that sounds like so much fun!!

im a very curious monkey, id like to know more about everything… think they make a class for that?

  • I wish I had a better understanding of math and science.  :(

    Later,

    Gina

  • yep.  Statistical theory and methods.

  • I love those ‘revelations’ in life – times where something suddenly dawns on you and you realise you should have ‘thought’ of it before, but it has only now suddenly hit you.  Makes life exciting, because you wonder what you’re gonna discover next!  Have an awesome day Angi, and thats very exciting about those classes you’ve signed up for! ((HUGS))

  • Is this a philosophy thing?

  • Does Fishbowl mean he understands or wishes he understood?
    I don’t understand.

  • I know exactly what you mean about understanding things–that’s probably why I’m not good at many things.  Understanding often eludes me!!!

I love the fact that you’re taking a couple of photography classes.  I can’t wait to see all of your wonderful pictures!

  • I may never understand why I put my boxers on backwards??  Its happened twice now.

  • good and you can share your knowledge with us. yeah!

  • I sent my traveling daughter and husband to a NGS photography seminar.  They are both excellent photographers but both said they learned so much….You Go Girl……..personally when I thinks to hard I usually fall asleep….ilym

  • I am stopping by to say HI :)     Sorry I havent been around for awhile…   Being a new Store owner is HARD work!   I need more free time…   Oh well…  maybe in my next life!  :)      take care :)

  • hope you are having a wonderful day :)

  • yay for classes… sounds like fun… I wish i understood my ex more… and the general stupidity of the mass population… but then again it’s probably a good think I don’t understand those things, since I think they both are stupid and idiotic, childlike… selfishly driven… etc…

  • About the only thing I have a great understanding of his my husband Jay!  I would love to understand the human body more.  How it works, why it works, and how to make it work better.  After writing all that the LAST THING I want to read is about the human body.  LOL  So maybe I don’t care enough about that!

  • Yeah, I can relate.  It may be obvious to the rest of the world, but it’s like discovering that the earth is round because it’s your personal discovery.

    Though sometimes I think :
    (1) That having a realization come within is more rewarding because you’re being taught at a time when it’s the right time.

    (2) Sometimes learning/realizing makes sense because it seems to access your being it’s the A-HA experience when things light up.  I guess that’s why they call people “bright” when they are really intelligent.

But I love that saying.  I saw it on a bumper sticker.

It sort of relates to feelings are not who you are they are just that feelings.
