I am out and about working today… had to stop home for something and I thought I would post this song for the LOVE OF MY LIFE… Because I’m not sure I ever tell him enough or tell him WHY…

So some of you wonder what the point of the FRIENDS is…

Well I’ll tell ya.

On the left side of my page I have a widget showing all of my friends… these are people that I enjoy reading and communicating with… They are the people I find FUNNY, ENTERTAINING, and THOUGHT PROVOKING…

YOU GUYS…

The difference that I see between this and My Space friends is that there is a chance to know each other here.

Doesn’t it figure that if I like you, that someone who likes ME will like you?!

Look at it as advertising for your site…

HOWEVER I don’t like it when people ask to be my friend and don’t sub to me… it means they have no intention of reading my posts or getting to know me. Where is the friendship in that?

Maybe we don’t use the friends widget enough? For today I think I well go and try to visit some of my friends friends…  Who knows who I’ll meet!

OH also… it isn’t a numbers game… the longer you are on Xanga the more people you tend to “collect” . People use Xanga  as needed… which is as it should be. Sometimes they post daily and other times it will be months… Just because someone becomes busy with real life doesn’t mean I am ditching them as a friend… I watch carefully for their occasional post and say hello when I can, always happy to hear from them …

COMMENTS… People say comments equal love… I think foot prints mean love… I mean after all, sometimes there just isn’t anything to say.

Do you use the FRIENDS module on peoples sites?

SO I discovered that I have over two hundred something subs… but only a hundred some friends… and it surprised me even more that there were so many of you  that I consider friends that aren’t on there!

 Xanga has this cool feature that allows you to view all of your subs and see which are on your friends list and if they aren’t you can send them invites all at once! Super cool. So if you see an invite from me… I have always considered you my friend, I’d just like to make it official.  If you don’t get an invite, that means you already were on my friends list.

OH… I wish  that it could show you which of your friends weren’t subbed to you… I HATE that… if your my friend I read your posts and get to know you… I am not into that MYSPACE mentality of collecting friends… does that bother anyone else?

The perfect door search…

I really am trying, but every door I see seems grey and dull.  

But just so you all know I’m trying…

I thought I’d brighten this one up and slap it on here.

I managed to get through the day yesterday without breaking my resolutions…

In case you’ve forgotten what they are…

1) I will avoid setting myself on fire.

2)This year I will not shoot, cut or maim myself or someone else in any way intentionally.

 Hey, accidents happen.

Yesterday it was a near thing…

I’m still in the clear though.

I feel mean and cranky today.

I don’t know why, and I can’t say I like it.

So I am trying really hard not to feel this way…

To think about the sun…

and how good it feels to be OUT.

Unfortunately I am stuck IN.

*sigh*

I HATE being irritable and cranky…

it is SO not me.

I guess we all have to have foggy days sometimes to appreciate the sunshine.

Even my happy place pictures aren’t helping much.

Indigolady has Doors up!

I love my Is. She is a smart, beautiful, funny little girl.

This week I got a letter from the school saying that they want her  to test for the TAG program… Talented and gifted kids. Only two kids in her school recieved letters. If she made it into the program it would require driving her to a different school. No big deal, we would work it out.

Isabelle told her best friend DJ about the letter..

This is Dj and Is at her birthday.

Ok so DJ flipped a little and started telling her she needs to fail the test… that she can’t leave him.

HMMM…

The kid lives down the block! During the summer she can start riding her bike to his house. She sees him on the weekends even.

I talked to her about it and explained to her that its a wonderful opportunity for her. She is bored in school occasionally because the teacher won’t let her play flash cards in math because she wins all of the time which isn’t fun for the other kids… She knows all of the answers and she needs a challenge.

ANYWAY… she says she will do her best no matter what… I hope that’s true. I hope she won’t let a boy dictate her behavior. She deserves so much more.

Its a snowman thief… she says he almost got away with the jewels.

Company is coming… the ham is in the oven and potatoes are on the stove… Now all that’s left is to shove all of the clothes and junk in the closet, do a quick sweep of the kitchen floor and hope no one tries to open the closet door!

Since I am working I thought I would repost some of my favorite pictures.

I am doing this in an attempt to assure myself that I don’t always blow it.

This morning I blew it.

Driving to work, I go around The Bay, there is a stretch right next to the road.

 A Fox was sitting on the ice just watching the cars go by.

In my excitement to get a picture, I pulled over, parked and then ran across traffic…

In my pea brain I was thinking he would sit there and pose for me…

Guess what, he didn’t.

I KNOW better then that.

Never run towards an animal… any kind of animal.

If your careful and take your time you can get some COOL pictures…

If your not careful and a DOPE, you get NADA!

Good thing I’m not a dope.

RIGHT?

Ahh well there will be other chances.
