DOORS & What’s The Deal With DOORS?
Kilkenny’s Pub has DOORS up~!
Someone else had doors up… who was it?! I saw them and then fell asleep thinking I would link them this morning… now WHO was it?!
DOORS… Some of my new subscribers keep asking What’s up with the DOOR links? Well I am into searching for perfect things, I am on an eternal quest for the perfect burger, I hope I never find it because it is so much fun looking…
By now, you should all know I am a picture taking nut. Every year I have a subject that I take pictures of and try to find a perfect shot of that one thing. Last year the topic was hay fields, this year, after some extensive polling and deep discussion with SEEDSOWER, the topic that was chosen was DOORS…
You can see last years HAYFIELD shot HERE.
Everyone is welcome to try and achieve their own perfect shot of a DOOR. Occasionally people post their attempts and I link them here so that everyone gets a chance to see each others DOORS…
SO that’s the deal with DOORS! Any questions?
Don’t be afraid to shoot me a message if you have a door up and want it linked or to let me know if I missed your door!
I am off to FIND THE MISSING LINK!

AHA! here we go-you are back in business missy!
now I can’t remember what I was going to say…..
@k8tthelate - Thanks Kate! lol
I think next year’s… or maybe this Fall’s… photo challenge should be TREES. You know how I love trees; almost as much as I love lighthouses!
@Shirlann - I know! I am ALWAYS looking for trees. lol It’s hard not to love them. lol
well that all makes perfect sense now…
I remember at my cousins wedding they were taking some pictures in front of a barn that was made of fieldstone and had a bright red door – that was a nice door!!
Have a great day!
*hugs*
I can not wait to get to Europe…there will be some wicked doors. From cathedrals to whore houses and everything in between, hehe.
Have a wonderful day, dearie.
*hugs*
@Hellion_Rebellion - I can’t wait to see them! Take LOTS of pictures!
Trees are even greater than doors!
I saw some cool doors yesterday at the house I was doing the newborn shoot at….they may not have understood if I just stopped and shot the door on my way inside though.
Now I wish I had looked for some doors when I was on parade yesterday. Damn! Next time.
I always enjoy your door pictures, b/t/w.
Thanks for the link. I am always looking for doors to shoot now. Have a great day!
Doors is/was a good topic-it was fun!! Make your Monday fun!

I have indeed had Tetris thumb many times.
I think my callouses will protect me in the future. =]
I like the doors that look like they belong on a medieval castle. And red doors.
i love interesting doors…..mine is plain as can be. hope your easter was wonderful!!!!!!
Speaking of doors… my bedroom door finally latches when it is closed… after almost 17 years of living here!!! : )
I’m sorry I missed all those hay fields, I love them!!! But I will go to look at them after I am done here!!!
I will have to start looking for doors. I know there are some great ones around here (I just need to remember my camera)
Hope your weekend was a great one, is your sister still visiting?
I’ve started cleaning out my picture folders and found a couple of doors for you but need to get around to posting them
I sent my youngest to Europe yesterday to look for doors…especially one you had posted that had sunflowers and stuff on it (a catherdral I think)..if I could find that link it would make it easier for her, but that’s the way it goes!!!!………ilym
@mlbncsga - I bet it was idigolady that posted those! I will go look for them and forward the link to you in a bit! I am so jealous! I want to go to Europe! lol
There is more tHan one “missing Link” ya know! I had a neighbor “Mrs Link” and my nephew thought she was Missing link,he was not to far off for she was missing a few…
I have mised you,I am to tired to be on here today,I will see how tomorrow is.
Love you.
I am seeking the perfect nap!
@seedsower - Get rested up! You deserve it.
@Aloysius_son - Well If I were you I would find a night shirt that was less demanding!
sorry about that.
I guess I should fix that.
I didn’t really get the whole doors thing either.
I have a few, but I would have to look through the archives known as under my bed first.
lol
How about naughty dogs??? I have one. I would always be able to contribute to that!
funny, i was subscribed to you last year and all i remember was the barns
you know- i can’t pass an interesting looking doorway these days without thinking of you
meanwhile- one of my best friends has a newfound interest in windows which she photographs all the time while she’s in Hungary- so ive turned into a strange person that stops to look and stare at seemingly normal architectural elements
Hahaha! Even though I didn’t know WHAT the door thing was….I made my daughter take pictures of a door that I really liked (becaue I didn’t bring my camera) in NYC today. I will show you if it comes out well, when she gets it on her computer. I also was going to takes pics of the Dakota door where john lennon was shot….but…..it’s a big gate, not a door, on that building.
Ohhh, what a long day. And how I miss xanga.
@Abigailigator - LOL That’s WONDERFUL! lol Everytime I see a sail boat and a harbor I think of you! And that’s pretty often in these parts. lol
(I keep waiting for someone to facetiously post Morrison or something.
) But really, it’s all wrong, it’s all right, it’s all wrong. Yep, that’s the stuff.
Ryc (i can’t use the reply function on blackberry :-/) In Cymru (Wales), she is called Rhiannon, and the Celts of Gaul (France) called her Epona.
Edain Echraidhe is her Gaelic name; her home is the high valley between the hills of Tara and Skryne in the Royal City of Celtic Ireland. This high valley holds a sacred stream called the Gabhra (pronounced gow-ra), which means the white mare. The Gabhra Valley was free range for the White Mare.
The sacred ceremony of the marriage to the land was by ritual marriage of the king to a white mare.
I keep seeing doors all over xanga, what a fun idea!
I was listening to my ipod the other day driving and the ani difranco song “tis of thee came on and there’s a line “i ran away with the circus
cuz there’s still some honest work left for bearded ladies” and I thought of YOU!!!!
ryc: the hair cut is ok… I guess… I still think it’s too short and I’m still pissed that he did it behind my back… but it’s still curly and once it grows out a little I think it will look cute
ttfn…
Here’s one of me listening to the Doors. http://x02.xanga.com/e10b77252543240579727/b27674224.jpg
Oh, darn it, I meant to link to the post. http://weblog.xanga.com/DIYGuy/453599786/currently-listening-to-the-doors.html
ohh, pick me! here are my pics of doors:
door 1: rusty
door 2: wood
@Renatojr3 - I will link them later today!
I’m gonna try it out!

And thanks for stopping by my site, Ms Busy Angi
Addy
Hope you had a good weekend Angi, and that you found the missing link! LOL!
Have a fantastic week ahead!
I will keep my eyes open for doors when I go away on holiday this Sunday.
There are lots of doors, I’ll find you a nice one
I’ve been saving up some door pics to do a whole post on them. Some of them I’m not sure really counts, since it’s just a door frame, no door, but it’s fun to have something to look for when I’m out and about. Not thatI need excuses to take pictures….
I propose this , Ang
Love
Michel
We all need a quest!
Thankyou for providing the link to the explanation of ‘the doors’…
I was getting confused.
