Let’s Go Caching part 1!
I thought maybe you all would like to find a cache.
This one is called Adam’s fly…
Imagine we’re down by the river, walking a footpath riddled with the hazards of winter in the woods…
rabbit and deer droppings.Ewww…

The clue is: A fly fisherman knows this well…
So we are searching the trees and bushes along the bank…
Can you see it?
We only did eight caches today, not many, but when we are dragging the Three’s along,
things tend to go a little slow.
Not that they aren’t speedy when they want to be.
It was more difficult today because everything was slippery and dangerous.
The first cache we went to was behind the State Hospital…
One of my favorite places to take pictures.
I found a few winter hold outs.
The first cache of the day found…
A fallen tree is always a given for a location.
D and the Samster goofin while they wait for us slow pokes.
SO?
Did you find the cache up above yet?
?
?
?
Here ya go…
A micro, just large enough for a log and a teeny, tiny pencil.
It was cleverly shaped like a fishing fly and hooked over a branch.
Oh this was a FTF… First to find!
They Love giving me the finger.
That’s a big deal!
Give yourself a pat on the back.
Oh I was instructed that if I was to use this picture I had to point out that makeup is not essential to your geocaching success.
Now you can pretend you are signing the log by using my comment section…

Don’t forget to put your caching team name and the time and date you found it.
We are:
Fin and Feathers- (my Pop)
Team Sammy Pants- (D and Sam)
&
The Coop Troop- (Charlie, Isabelle, Cooper and me)
WHAT WOULD YOUR GEOCACHING NAME BE?
Hope you all are having a great Easter Weekend.
To be continued!
Oh the agony…

This post is a blast
@basilhayden - Thanks B! I bet you would enjoy geocaching. There are usually fun treats for the doggies who cache. we often find vacume packed doggie bones. lol
Okay!
Hope enjoy the rest of your weekend!
I would love to do this, I think it sounds like a blast!!!! Hey a FTF is a BIG deal, very cool!!!! I think if we were to pick one it would have to be something around the fire department. A nick name for a firefighter is “Jake” so maybe a good name would be ”The Jake Jive”, or “the lights and siren crew” I get to use the term because of being the firefighterswife and because I was a paramedic (I earned my time too). Of course the pups would have fun running through the woods too!!!
My husband and daughter have done quite a bit of geocaching. I think it appeals to the explorer and treasure hunter in all of us. Who isn’t romanced by the idea of a pirate map and a treasure to be found? Its quite addictive, really.
@polymergoddess - I really just go along for the interesting places. lol I get frustrated if it takes too long to find a cache… So I mostly just walk around with my camera shooting things. lol I see places I never would have other wise… know what I mean?
It also helps the the monsters are occupied looking for the cche while I wander around being a bubble head. lol
beautiful photos… and although makeup isn’t essential, she still looks fantastic! Rosy cheeks and all!
Ah, snow…
@yearinthelife - I thought so too. She was just embarrassed because she was giving her goofy “I got a FTF!” smile… I think she’s beautiful. lol
Thanks for the comment! I enjoyed looking at your pictures, glad you had fun caching.
Enjoy Easter!
=)
I have a small pond in my back yard, 6′ x 3′. Yes you read that right… 6′ x 3′. I grow a one cat tail in there every year… in the spring and once in the summer I thin them out. (You can eat the roots.. if you are so inclined) hence… I really love the cat tail pic!
I was thinking about you when I was painting… you will notice the figure on the far left… I gave him a moustache, just for you!. I am serious… in great art there is suppose to be a reason for everything… or so my art history professor seemed to think… so I needed a reason to give the guy a moustache and I decided, you would be my reason… so there you have it… now it’s great art!
You know, I really want to do this someday! It’s a veritable treasure hunt, of sorts…finding the cache and finding the things to snap photos of!
I’m not sure what my geocaching name would be…all I know is that it would be something “piratey!”
Yeah…I saw it.
And I can’t believe how much snow you have where you live!
I think I’m too old to learn new tricks but thanks anyway. lol
Hey now that looked like a good time! As you know Angi we cache under the name Team Goldfinch. Team Goldfinch did 20 caches today, but alas no first to finds. As I have said a hundred times this weekend already, I miss you all. – Love you all Aunt Mary
I would like to try caching! It looks like a fun way to get in a hike and some exercise. I would be shellisland. Great pics, as always! Peace
No caching here this weekend.
@Aloysius_son - AWWW Now I REALLY want it! lol
I’ll be watching your post for all of the bid information!
wakaka
enjoy your easter weekend
Hi Ang…hope you enjoyed your day of caching…if I ever were to try it, it would definitely have to be in nice weather…not one for the cold…you got some great pics…have a great Easter…Rainy
that looks like so much fun-I saw it, but I had no idea what it was I was seeing! I’m very good at seeing what doesn’t belong, just not figuring out what the heck it is!
we would probably be Dumps DareDevils and the only team that had a chicken along.
I love your pictures!!! My geocaching name would be something like “Diamonds in the Rough.” It would be me and my sons–though I don’t know that they would like a team name with the word “diamond” in it…
I love how you take pictures of everything, and post them up with your entries.
hah, 40 reasons lists was off an site that supported anorexia. I found it surprising how many people believe skinny is the only form of beauty.
Thanks, hope your weekend is the best.
Merry Easter!
Congrats on the FTF!
Don’t know if I ever told you – my/our geo-name is MacCrew with MAC being both mine and Mark’s initials. Should have capped it to make it MAC Crew and who knows, maybe I will change it someday if I am not too lazy to do it. I was hoping to go caching today, but Mark is sick and I feel bad leaving him home with the kids, so probably not
Anyway, glad you’re having fun with your family. Have a happy Easter.
Like an elaborate game of hide and seek. Did you have to climb the tree to get the thing down?
Liked your picture of the milkweed pod, too!
Geocaching sounds like fun, and you get some good exercise and fresh air, too! Have a great day today!
Those ae AWESOME pics, as usual! Have a wonderful Easter Angi!
Team Moonin’ Momma here… Hoping you and your family has a very blessed and Happy Easter!
awesome pictures ang!!!!!
Fascinating pursuit. In the first picture, it looks like a little green gremlin peeking out from behind the tree
I’m not clever enough to think up a good name– how about the Haynes Homestead? Congrats on your find!
The hospital sure has pretty angles– is that too weird?
This will surprise you but my caching name is Craftea.
We started out as TheStachers but since my family stopped caching with me I changed it to something ME. I refer to the kids as The Q or The K in my logs if they come with me, but they don’t get their own account till they can log them themselves. I know a lot of people that have accounts for their kids and they log each cache 2+ times. While I think it would be interesting to see how many caches the kids have gotten with me, I’m not that into their game.
Managed to get 5 caches while I was in a different town visiting family (visiting/escaping) yesterday. I’m about to hit my #1500 milestone.
