BEWARE the HYPOTHETICAL Part 2
Isabelles TAG testing is today, I just dropped her off and now I need something to do until I pick her up.
I love asking you guys hypotheticals, I enjoy discussing them but Ben HATES it… so I need to get them out somewhere… so you guys have to suffer!
If you it were your sole responsibility to repopulate the human race and you had a choice between two people to take as a mate… One of them has incredible beauty, the other has incredible intelligence… which would you choose? You can only have ONE!

I’d definetly go for the beauty…..because I know the sex would be more enjoyable.
And I would expect that my obvious brilliance (

I would have sex with the smart one. Because she’s smart and would realize that I’m not someone she wants to hang around with. And since she’s so smart she’d figure out a way to get me together with a hot babe so she won’t be bothered by me.

hmmmm, you’re not saying the intelligent man is ugly….but he if he were butt ugly and the ONLY thing to look at, I’d have to rely on my own intelligence, which I don’t entirely trust…so I would have to say intelligence over beauty!

always go for the smarts-the world depends on this. we have too many pretty people now and not enough smart ones. (for some reason paris hilton popped into my mind **shudder**

intelligence, hands down… there is nothing more frustrating that trying to talk to someone who is a compleate idiot… and most of the time what i find attractive many, many people don’t agree w/ and vice versa…

I’d go for the brainy guy, definitely. I would close my eyes during the act and think about the gorgeous one. God knows Mr Brains would have his eyes closed and be thinking about some hot babe, so I would do this absolutely guilt free.

It would be the smart one…I think beauty kind of loses its luster anyway ,and there is nothing like the gleam in a smart ,( not smart and knows it though ) man’s eyes.I would hope however that he was not highly educated because it would be so much fun to introduce him to all kinds of stuff.. both academic ,and well other stuff too:)RYC I have no idea if she has a shawl or weird alien feathers or what.Thats the fun of creating a being from scratch:)
I would choose intelligence as long as it was coupled with kindness. Because in my book there are some really unkind intelligent people out there. you know the type that are sooo smart and they look down on and patronize everyone else, forget that! Standards of beauty change with each generation, so I would prefer to go with brains, that’s something that never goes out of style.

Intelligent, easy choice. First of all, the looks will fade and are subjective anyway; secondly, a REALLY intelligent guy will figure out how to make the kids prettier!

OK I would take the brains! Because my husbands late father used to always say God either gives you beauty or money and since he had no money he must be really good looking. So give me really ugly but smart and rich! Now no comments on being so shallow and turning this perfectly wonderful question into something about money!

If I understand Darwin right, it should be the beauty that wins out under natural selection. Could it be that the brains somehow follow (or have no genetic link to carry?) The female bird doesn’t pick the smartest male…am I thinking too much?

Attractive doesn’t always equal sexy but brains often does. I’d go with the sexier one.
Hmmmm that is a difficult question. I guess it would depend on ‘how ugly’ we are talking here. I would think that if we had to repopulate the earth we would want to repopulate intelligently. Also I love good conversation so if the gorgeous guy was dumb that would be difficult.

I AGREE… The question tonight that the girl lost the money on seemed like a TRUE or FALSE answer and she got it wrong. Have you ever slept with someone in order to further your career and she said No and lost $100,000.00. THEN she acted shocked that she lost!!!!!!
Women are crazy, it would be easier to just relax and enjoy what little of life was left…

I would go for the intelligence. I often find that people who are physically beautiful, be they male or female, often know they are, and that fact affects how they see others and themselves. Extreme intelligence can have its own set of problems as well, but I personally seem to handle that quality better :=).
Beauty. Even with the task of repopulating the earth, I would think first of what I would want in a woman if I could get my wish. That dosen’t mean that she is an airhead and lacks other important qualities such as wisdom.
I would make my new race a polygamous society!
