This is one of my favorite songs of ALL times…
It was butchered on American Idol tonight… I thought I’d post it so you guys would know what it REALLY sounds like. Sorry about the video… it was the best of a poor selection.

I loved the movie “Help!”. Even the white chick who played the Indian cult member.
I bet Paul won’t forget Haley’s face… they just settled on a 48 million dollar divorce settlement. It was way less than what she wanted. He will also be paying Beatrice (thier daughter) payments of 70,000 every so often, and he has to pay for her schooling and nanny fees.
He should have just remained a widow after Linda died. That was the love of his life. I think Haley was out for $$. Even his kids did not want him to marry her. When I saw they were getting married, I said then that it would not last. Looks like I am right.
Oh.. I’ve got a Rubber Soul … and that means I can bounce back….

AI has a way of doing that, don’t they? I think if I could vote one thing off of AI, it would be NOT having to hear them slaughter the songs in the group sing. (((SHIVER)))

It was a bad night for the Beatles. What’s up with two weeks of Beatles on Idol anyway? I’m betting this is how Paul is paying off that divorce settlement.

the Beatles kinda rock but my money is on the Monkee’s out lasting them as ultimate rock group ever…

@Mother_Moonie - Heather Mills is Paul’s ex wife, Hayley Mills is the actress from the original Parent Trap. : ) I totally agree, though… there was something fishy about it from the start and you don’t go after that much in a divorce settlement if you didn’t have ulterior motives unless he’s a horrible person and I know enough people who know him (he has a house in my hometown) to know that’s not true.
American Idol must be so hard… they’re learning entire songs that they’ve never sang before in a really short amount of time and then sing them in front of America. Gotta give them kudos for trying!

I dig The Beatles, of course, but I’m really feeling kind of bad for Paul these days.

due to internet problems and only being able to use dial up only on one computer in the house w/ no internal speakers… I cannot listen to this song… but i’m sure it’s better than anything that american idol presents… (did I mention I dislike reality tv?)

It’s a pretty good remake of the song.
I know it’s not as good.
I think AI will cause the Beatles albums to bump up in sales. The new versions on the show make you either want to go hear the original for the first time or revisit it for compare and contrast.
Its been painful seeing some songs butchered, but others were quite interesting to hear like Let it be and Eleanor Rigby.
@jaeyounglee - Actually I really like that version… I did see the movie and it wasn’t my favorite… b ut I liked the songs… My favorite part of the whole movie was when Joe Cocker sang A Little Help from My Friends as the pimp and the bum! I thought that was ingenious!
