Oh yes, I can’t wait for the summer time to start again!
Summer is never ending in my mind…………
shoot it felt like summer today. it’s kinda hot
I’m living on stale bread, cigarettes, and cheap whiskey.
i am reliving last years summer when we went to california
hope you are doing good sweetie!!!
@Ed_Kaz - For god’s sake man! Shell out the buck fifty for some fresh bread!
wow. how pretty.
we had a cold front come thru-down in the 50′s today. it sucked.
Well, if Harley Girl will let me type… she keeps pulling my hand to her head… that’s a lab for ya!
It was wonderfully warm the last couple of days. Today it is cold. Tomorrow should be colder. Ick.
Lovely pics!
Cute summer pics of the kiddies. The snow pic is pretty, but, ohhhh so sick of snow!
Kathi
summer… i hear thats a season where its warm, and you don’t have to wear 6 layers to go outside? gee whiz that would be super!
oh- and i realized that i took a door pic while i was in italy- so i put that up
gorgeous scenery, and very cute playtime picture of the boys
I want some of that snow.
it was a winter wonderland here too, but i’m definitely ready for the summer.
I like your wintry picture… I live in Southern California and we get summer weather nearly all year. I am absolutely sick of it! I sure wish it would snow for a change! Hahahaha
dan =P
@Danth - I can’t imagine not having seasons. I won’t say I’m thrilled with winter right now, but I do enjoy it for the most part, especially when its sunny out and the light bouncing off of the white snow blinds you. lol Enjoy some warmth for me. My mom really enjoyed your poems by the way.
I rode my bicycle after work in 70 degree weather… I haven’t been able to ride much lately because we had a cold spell last week. It dropped into the upper 50s and lower 60s… Burrr… I even had to put a jacket on.
LOL…dan *sorry for rubbing it in* =)
@Danth - YOUR NOT SORRY! :-b
That’s ok… I’ll get back at you some how, some day, when you least expect it!
That reminds me of being a kid… playing in the forest.
Promises, promises…
dan =)
Oh wow on the snowy pic. I’ll post one tomorrow. I need to save up my blog fodder so I’ll have something else to talk about since I’m only one dimensional. (I have no idea what that means…stuff just blurts out.) Anyway, I’m just popping over again ’cause I need the 2 credits. My username sucks and someone else already took hottieangelbaby74000.
gorgeous scene!
Peek-a-boo!
I actually imagined myself cycling to campus today!
Have I mentioned that I really really like your door blog??? It’s “a good thing”! I think a little snow would be nice here too, we’ve had high wind and grass fires that have burned thousands of acres in the last two days. Not good. I want to wrap my arms around that big ol tree! Peace
Well…guess I shouldn’t brag about our 67 degree sunny days right now…
@baychic - :-b Meanie!
Oh yea – spring thoughts.
Summer memories? Hell, I’ve got a countdown ticker up for THIS year’s vacation, honey! Love the pics. Let’s just say the snow here doesn’t look anything like that. LIttle tiny bits on top of the grass is more like it.
RYC: Things are okay with the whole Grandmother passing thing. It’s weird because Grandmother was not one of those people who built real relationships with people… she was far more interested in having people NEED her and come pay homage than she was in having people know her and sharing who she was with them. And, to be brutally honest, she wasn’t always (often?) a very nice woman… not even as a 94-year old. Yes, we loved her; but she also had some pretty strained relationships throughout the family and in her community. So, it’s weird. But, aren’t all families weird to a greater or lesser extent? Hubby’s holding up okay, although I think he (and I!) are dreading the whole long weekend in Kentucky because of the family tension.
We have not see this much snow in the United Kingdom for a few years now.
I do remember having deep snow, we still have a photo somewhere of our neighbors clearing the snow of the road.
We have our crocus blooming, so I’m into spring and able to glimpse next summer now. That’s pretty nice. It’s always good to look at summer pictures, although it makes me wonder, “Aren’t they cold with shorts on?”
It is very much winter here today and will be for another week
Productive???
a new word for me.
I think I saw that snow on the way to work this morning!
Have a great day!
Hmm…looks a lot like my ride to work too
Look at that snow!!! Beautiful picture!!!
The kids look like they are having fun with that big ol’ tree! Good to have summer memories to get you through the chill of winter!!!
March…April…SPRING!!…SUMMER!!! Just a few more months!
We got almost a foot of snow last night, so definitely dreaming of summer here!
That is such an amazing snowy picture! It makes me wish for snow! It seems like snow has the magic ability to make the ordinary seem dazzling.
LOVE the tree/playing pictures! Oh to be young again!
those pics make want to play hide and seek with your family too
Looks like fun!
As much as I DETEST snow when it is here, I love seeing it in pictures! That (the scene outside your work) is a GORGEOUS pic. I didn’t read your profile (to see if it says where you are), but it looks so beautiful, and expansive…uncrowded….where you live (with houses, etc).
I LOVE the Summer pics. Summer in a green woods… Summer is my FAVORITE. Oh, how I miss it!
No….I still did NOT get my credits for the one that I managed to complete on Monday morning….Joseph said I would by 1:30 today…still NOTHING.
My kids (I have 2 little girls……I don’t mention them on my site, except for protected…..*winks* at Kathi up there….and Alicia, as well) have been in Florida visiting my mom for 9 days and just got home around midnight last night…….so I haven’t been able to play on xanga much today.
You changed your profile pic…… I just noticed now….the other one….that is how I first noticed you……..about a year back…..and have remembered you ever since….still a moustache on this one, eh?
@ilsurvive - Mustached on all of my profile pics. lol Its kinds my thing. lol I didn’t know you were all related!
I am in Michigan.
Hope Joesph can get you your credits!
wow, looks like a postcard! seriously, u need to get paid for your pics!
anyways, Obama’s voice is indeed deep: all those years of cigarette smoking have that effect hehe But, he’s been trying to quit. It is also to my understanding, that President Lincoln’s voice was deep too…and his job was to keep the Union together. Obama is trying to bridge this bitter divide between liberals and conservatives so that we may be a better country for this unity. He’s also black and white -who better can unite this country than someone who knows the best of both worlds? Lincoln and Obama…both guys with deep voices and who used to smoke, both trying to unify the country, and both are from Illinoise!
@modo617 - Ooo some good comparisons.
And THANK YOU!
I’m hoping we have one more month of this winter stuff. I mean we have a graduation in May and a wedding in August. And if we get any more snow, who knows how long it will take to dry up around here.
@angi1972 - ha! Honest that is how I first recognized you…..the last lady you had in your pro. pic……a year or so back….I had a post with her in it (she’s some circus lady, right?
)….then I noticed YOU….and thought to myself….holy C……angi has that lady as her profile pic, and aha….I have seen this pic (the one I used) before…..somewhere….and it was in comment you left in sites we have in common that I must’ve seen it (by you)……Hahahaha….and thought OY…. she has the bearded lady as her profile pic……THAT is where I must’ve gotten my circus freak idea……subliminally.
Michigan….you guys have been BLASTED extra hard with snow this WInter, from what I hear from a sub I have who lives there as well. When I was a little girl….we used to go to Michigan often….Jackson, Michigan…to visit an Aunt and Uncle each Winter and Summer. It’s beautifl there. I’m on Long Island…(in Ny…obviously….duh….Jamie…haha). I remember….all the snow in the WInter….snowmobiling…..and BEAUTIFUL lakes…..and places like commercials…..with a rope ladder you could climb and swing from the trees into the lakes in the SUmmer. We don’t have cool lake spots like that here.
@ilsurvive - I am much father up then Jackson, towards the top of the mitton… It is beautiful but the economy is SO bad. Glad you got to visit, hope you come back again. I am going to be NYC way this summer. I am going to visit Seedsower, do you know her?
I’ll have to go read your freaks post! I love freaks… maybe because I feel like I can relate. lol
I’m from Moultonborough, New Hampshire, how about you?
I love having seasons too, but I am SO ready to hand back this snow & cold!
*hugs*
@angi1972 - Yes! I do know Seedsower! She has always been so kind and helpful to me…..I even linked her in my last post, because she helped me…..immediatly….when I realized there was a problem on my site….she sent me to Natalia, who also immediatly helped. Voila….fixed site. I don’t know her well enough to know that she lived in NY, too, though….Ha! I commented on HER snow pics the other day, and so didn’t realize HERS were NY pics?
She must be upstate, to have the pretty barns, etc. that she had in that pic?? Upstate NY….there is NO WAY that things like that are found in NY city…….I live waaaay downstate….about an hour and a half past NYC….on Long Island….windy, windy….surrounded by water,we are, out here on Long Island. We DO have things like in her pictures here as well…..many places nearby…..farms and such…..but HER pics to me……just look UPSTATE to me, rather than here by me.
@msbutterfli - Me too, Kimbers……and I REALLY would like to have a bit more seasons than just WINTER or SUMMER…..as things seem to be here…..Summer is july and august…..winter feels like….the rest.
I can’t decide what I enjoyed better that lovely snow laden image or your boys playing pick a boo. Having returned from summer downunder I can’t quite accept that I am still in winter at the moment. I should be warm, dammit!
I can’t wait until the summer.
The snow does make everything look beautiful, but I prefer the summer! I love the pics of the boys … too cute!
I hope you are having a great week!
Alicia
Yes, summer seems like such a memory… but you have renewed my faith that tag and hide-and-seek on a warm day are just around the corner!
that winter picture looks a lot like Chicago! I can’t wait for warmer weather
RYC: Doh! Caught me peeking
Congrates on the TRUE badge!
I keep re-living my Boston visit over and over–good memories of Toto!! Pretty snow picture!
