Taking Advantage
It was such a gorgeous day here today.
Had to take advantage of it.
I still tackled the mountain…
the mountain of laundry that is.
How in the world do five people generate so much freaking laundry?!
I am thinking I should cut the kids down to two pair of pants and four shirts…
Think it would help?
I am joking! Kinda.
An icicle sun set, a nice way to end the day.
It looked like strings of lights hanging from the eve of our house.
I’ve never watched a sun set in quite that way before.

Such a beautiful area, it lovely!!! I hear you on the laundry, it sure piles up in no time!!!
Ooh nice picture.
And its easy, just leave clothes and not wash them for a couple of days, and it gets that way fast. lol
One set a day is good and make em wear the same jeans more than once too!
Nice photo!
You wouldn’t believe how much laundry Mike and I generate. 2 people. And we seem to have to do about 6 loads a week. Seriously.
It’s been a nice day here today too. Wish I were feeling more chirpy.
two pairs of pants and four shirts (a day?) no wonder you have so much laundry… ;-D
LOL… I know how ya feel… there are only 3 of us… and I feel like I’m constantly doing laundry… and “I” only have two pairs of pants and maybe 8 shirts!!!! LOL
nice picture… all we have out here is mounds of dirty snow covered ice… (from when the snow melted and then immediately froze again… followed by the light dusting we got yesterday) thou… I bet if I got off my arse and headed to the beach we’d find some wonderful sights… but it’s just too cold now and everyone is too sick!
ttfn…
gorgeous
Make it 3 pair of pants and 5 shirts… That should do it!
dan =)
Absolutely! Count down on the articles available and there is bound to be less washing! Around here it’s every man (woman, child) for themself when it comes to laundry. Voila’, problem solved!
We had a nice day here too. I took some photos, but haven’t posted them yet.
A woman I once knew, God rest her, used to buy clothes at the thrift when she needed some fresh. Then periodically, she’d take the laundry to donate to the thrift! Beautiful picture (above, I mean!) The weather here is freakish. It is unnaturally cold and I am tired of it. I long for spring. That should only be a few more weeks, thank the Good Lord.
@BB61 - I’ll be watching for them!
is this what you see everyday:? beautiful
Awesome photos!
With only one child at home now, my mountain of laundry is more like an ant hill, except of course when the two college kids come home.
Love the photo of the icicle. I used to eat them when I was a little girl.
You’re finding, and taking, some great photos. The first one reminds me of home, and the second reminds me of another dimension . . .
You take the best picturs of the simplest things.
Got a mountain of laundry at home and its just two of us, then again we haven’t done it in a couple of weeks.
the pictures are gorgeous, but the first one is exceptionally pleasing
and yes, i agree about the laundry! my poor mom. hehe.
I dont want to say it’s her fault, because I feel that would be unfair to her.
I dont want to say it’s my fault, because I know I was the near perfect boyfriend, and all of her friends were very angry at her when she did break up with me, because they knew that I wasn’t doing anything wrong.
whoa, the icicle at sunset is super cool!
I love that picture!
You think you have laundry now – wait for the teen years! I have one dear daughter who loves to change several times a day. There are six of us here and if we are not doing a load or two a day we are overrun
. I love the icicle pic. M
OMG, I LOVE the icicle picture!!
Beautiful!
RYC- Yes, I’m still working with the glass. I will have more time in the near future again.
The icicle concept is intriguing! I’d like to see more of those!
whoa that ice looks so cool that needs to be enlarged and framed
Wow– that icicle photo is amazing. You should enter that into a contest!!!
So that’s why “icicle lights” were invented—but the real thing is much better! Awesome photo! About laundry—everybody 12 and older does their own here—they have to learn sometime. Consequently my now college age kids don’t bring laundry home. And that’s okay with me.
The ice and snow are actually melting today.
@MaryVerina - HA! Your right… I always just assumed it was because of their shape… but I bet one day someone was watching the icicles on their house and a light bulb went off! (pun intended)
You know… I think I will be getting them to do their own soon… they help me a little now and all put their own away, but it would be so nice if they just took care of the whole deal.
I thought you were asking me about me having cancer. It took a few minutes to associate that with the smoking.
Progress report: Still haven’t had anything to smoke since 12/19/07
Soon, I’ll be qualified as a non-smoker (insurance purposes and such)
Some nice photographs you have taken.
It’s very pretty!
Once my family asked me to wash the clothes since the wife now had to work outside the home. Within 2 weeks. no one would allow me to touch their clothes.

@NVRSAD_DAY - AHHH Your tricky! That’s how I got out of doing dishes… I accidentally broke a few when I was little.
I sure do like that icicle picture, but it makes me glad we don’t have ice here now.
