Went to lunch at Pearl’s today.
Surrounded by obnoxious colors,hundreds of hot sauce and Jim Bean bottles, I got to sit with my honey and listen to greats like Louis Armstrong, Sidney Bichet, and Bessie Smith while I ate WONDERFUL food.
Mmm chicken florentine… I love it.
Cherry pecan bread pudding… warm yummy goodness.
Pearl’s has a unique (obnoxious) style of decor, right up my ally.
It was a good day. I skipped work… I am a naughty girl.
It was worth it.

When I was growing up, my Dad always told us how much he dislikes bread pudding. To this day, I’ve never had it and it grosses me out just thinking about it. Glad YOU enjoyed the dinner. Dates are great!

I love how you take your camera everywhere…you never know whe you’re going to come across that perfect picture! What a yummy lunch! Little, local restaurants are always the best! No mass produced, microwaved meals for me…I’m quite proud of the fact that I haven’t been to a Chili’s (or Chili’s owned affiliate) for over 5 years! It’s my own private war against “the man” lol
