  • Waiting Why?

    thanksgiving geocaching 061.jpg

Last night I was waiting for sleep, it didn’t come.

    I’m still waiting.

    For what?

    So many things.

A nap would be good, my cold medicine kicking in… that would be good.

I think we’re all waiting for spring.

I don’t mind waiting, there are so many cool things to do while I wait.

One of my favorite things to do is people watch.

I like to make up stories about people.

I work my puzzles or read.

What do you do when your waiting?

    yesterdog bathroom door.jpg

THIS is one of my favorite doors…

It is the restroom door at Yesterdog in Grand Rapids.

I know it’s not perfect, but I bet you can guess why I like it.

  • I do not like waiting for some things,   somethings are best waiting for

I do not know what I do whilst waiting,   taking some calm breaths if it important

  • I love that first pic, gorgeous

I’m a people watcher too.  I like to try and figure out why some of them are so wacked out

  •  I love that door–that’s great handiwork.  I could relate to not sleeping.  I;m so sorry.  yes, a nap is in order.

  • I can’t guess about the door…..?  And I am NOT good at waiting.  I have “instant gratification syndrome”.

  • ^ I have to reiterate.  I am VERY patient when it comes to waiting in line, waiting for green lights, food, doctor appointments, etc.  I usually enjoy the quiet time!  But when waiting involves “not knowing” — like test results, etc., then I’m impatient.

  • @temptation__eyes - KIM! She’s a bearded lady!

  • What beautiful pictures!

  • @angi1972 - You know what?  I saw that as I submitted my last comment.  But I thought it would be ridiculous to post three in a row!  So it’s too little too late.  Story of my life!  But at least I got it eventually *sigh*.

  • I know exactly where that first picture was taken

When I’m waiting…if I’m at home…I hope online and Xanga or Photoshop.

  • I am waiting for Friday…

I hope you get better soon!!!

  • Waiting has never been one of my strong points…much too impatient when I was younger…WANT IT NOW!!!!!…lol…I’m much better these days…I usually read, work puzzles, into Sudoku now…people watching can be very interesting…lol…have a great week…Rainy

  • errrrr….Ang…do you have a beard???  I’ve always wanted to ask….sorry *scurries away*.

Must be my cold medicine kickin’ in…argh

  • I’m waiting for my husband to return from Iraq- so right now I’m keeping myself busy with lots and lots of tasks in my volunteer jobs!  Love that door- its probably one of the most unique doors I’ve ever seen.  I need to get outside today with my camera, its beautiful outside today… LOVE the dandelion photos- very cool angle.

  • if i’m out somewhere most of my time waiting is spent doubting my plans and wondering if i’m in the wrong spot. i hate it.

however, waiting at home i’m fine with. generally there’s a tv or a book involved.

  • @jerseygirlsrule - I’ll never tell. ;-b

  • That is one fun door.  It could be a bearded lady, OR a restroom for transgenders.

  • I love the first picture. It is uplifting and inviting…

  • Great picture.  I don’t think I’d go in, though!

When I’m waiting I either read or sit back, close my eyes and listen to my breathing.  I can feel everything go calm and it puts me to sleep at night or helps me relax in the day.

  • I had a hard time sleeping as well.  RYC:  Stupid rock business, geotech stuff.  That’s what the business is for.
Don’t tell anyone I was the model for that bathroom door.

  • whoa… man in kilt, woman with facial hair- im so confused and i do NOT like to wait for the bathroom, even if i don’t fall under either category…

hmm, waiting.. yea, im not so good at that if its something im really excited about, though i can sit quiet and twirl my hair girlishly with the best of them if i really have to

  • They say good things come to those who wait. I had to wait for sleep to come last night too!!! That is one thing I do not like to wait for!!!

I love that door, and I can see why you like it too!!!

  • would it be the bearded lady?

  • Is it because it is a bi-bathroom?… Hmmm?….

    dan… *chuckling*

  • Love the door. That is classic! Hmmmm Waiting is so hard for me. I read, bite my nails, pace, go on the internet or eat! Yeah, I pig out when I’m anxiously waiting….
By the way, the first snow pic is gorgeous!

  • Cold medicine — there is only one for me: Zicam (the zinc stuff).  Get well soon!

  • LOVE the door. Waiting… I distract myself with email, texting, ipod, etc. Waiting for a flight is the worst though…

  • well, i oftentimes bring gadgets with me especially if i know that i’ll burn time. a gameboy or a ds creates greeat environments. with all the rpg games out there. music players don’t help. or sometimes, i go check details of everything around me like the way doors are painted. if a place is new or something (everything’s new to me), i go do a tour… except for the ladies’ room, of course.

  • wow nice pic, I love the blue sky and clouds….. :)

  • An uni-sex toilet? That reminds me of Ally McBeal.

  • I listen to music and stare at other people’s shoes/bags/clothes while I wait and try to figure out what brand those items are. Occassionally I try to imagine what their social lives are like.

Do you take those photographs yourself? They’re absolutely beautiful!

And I love your son’s plan to stay physically active, he sounds like a very smart (and creative) boy

  • @s_l_v -  Thank you! and yes I do. I like you pictures too, and great narration.

  • omg-that door is fabulous!
waiting….sometimes the best things are anticipated. I like that word better :)

  • Ok, be honest now, was that a NORMAL door till you took your Sharpie out?

  • I tend to think while I’m waiting….and I tend to go to sleep when I think to long….. I am waiting patiently for spring but I try not to think about it much……..great pictures……..

  • I no it can’t be because of the hair on the face! LOL! have a good week girl!
