One of my close friends is working on a project.
He is starting a zine and looking for submissions.
It looks fun and easy, I know some of you aren’t into art, but all of you are into free expression!
So if you feel like putting something out there, go ahead!
More information can be found here on his blog.
He is also a very talented artist himself so his blog is fun to page through if you have time.

CURTIS MCGUIRE
I have a fondness for this piece.
Have a great day.
I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed:
“We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal.”
~Martin Luther King Jr.
If you have something to say PUT IT OUT THERE…
Who knows where it will grow.

i really like the grass peice! oooo hey, was i first? wooohoooo!!!
A lot of work goes into an e-zine, and I wish your friend the very best of luck!
RYC: What a great question. Euripides said, “A coward turns away, but a brave man’s choice is danger.” I think there are many forms of danger including, for example, standing between the crowd and one who is oppressed regardless of the hazard it places us. Unpopularity? There are many ways of being unpopular without being courageous–a child molester is certainly unpopular.
Always taking the “safe route” and choosing “not to be involved” in the face of wrong or injustice by the crowd (thus remaining popular) to me is cowardice. Courage happens with risk.
Thanks!!!!
just a small correction for justmeandy, in addition to posting things on the blog, there will also be a real zine that goes out for distribution. I’ll be mailing it out to distros such as ‘Microcosm’, and ‘leaving a paper trail’ (two of my favorite distros) It’s also possible it will get into Quimby’s books in chicago. I’ve been talking to them about it.
The zines, website is http://www.CorrespondenceWanted.blogspot.com
RYC: We teased Nobak about his brides dowry. We made a lot of suggestions. -maybe 20 goats. He would just laugh and say, “No, they wouldn’t take that.” lol
Love the grass piece. What a great commentary!
RYC: This one has two levels.
I hope it pays off, but I hope i pass the school first. lol thanks.
that is awesome. Good luck to him…
The grass piece looks kewl…:)
The grass piece is funny. The quote from MLK is even better… because so many people know he had a dream; but can’t for the life of them tell you what it was!
Cool beans!!! I have a new dream today. My oldest daughter Sherri and I went to the vet, because her cat Ariel (a/k/a ‘The Cow’ because she is black and white spotted) had to have her spay stitches out. I saw where there is a litter of German Shepard puppies. I so want a little male from it!!!
that is bizzarrrrrrrr
a little grass….that sounds bad
ryc: sorry about that anji. i noticed the whole half cut off thing when i did a public preview, but when i went back to it, there was the whole thing. could xanga be possessed? hmmmmmmmmm

Sounds like a great idea for a ‘zine’. Will check out the blog when I’ve caught up on my subs list.
The grass photo is so cool!! I used to write alot, but I just don’t have the love for it that I used to.

I bet he has a huge number of people sending him things to print!
I can never think of anything to say at places like that, really my mind just goes blank…. very interesting concept tho, you just have to love the internet. Ang I love your cardinal piece, their sitting on a birch tree limb aren’t they…very nice! And the black and white tree is amazing!!! You Go Girl….
Hope you have had a good day. : )
