Ben and I were allowed the illusion of freedom for a few hours this afternoon.It was over entirely too quickly. We called a sitter and then went out to breakfast alone… without any little monsters. It was wonderful! It isn’t like we did much, talked and did a crossword over breakfast, went to the bookstore, where I got a hot chocolate and a magazine, and bought Charlie’s birthday present. I can’t believe he’s going to be nine. How is it possible that I, Miss Immaturity herself, has a nine year old child?
