  • WOW!!!

The things you can get done when you don’t have an almost three year old attached to you!

Cooper went to a daycare for the first time ever today! He didn’t even notice when I left. It is now official! Every Tuesday, Cooper will be going there and I will be going to the glass company or where ever to do MY thing! Some small semblance of freedom! It has been NINE years! NINE…

Why did I not do this before?!?!

Well it had more then a little to do with not wanting or having the money to spend. Now that I have sold some pieces I can kind of justify it and that makes me feel GREAT! I also had the nice surprise that a bunch of my cards had sold too! So I will be printing some more up as soon as I can, winter and fall ones and taking them in.

Freedom, no matter how illusionary is a good thing.

  • Congrats on the sale and on the daycare!  I live for those couple of hours that both kids are in school.  Unfortunately, I’ve been spending more of that time volunteering at their schools than doing anything for myself, but the option is at least there.  And now I must go pick up my 1st grader from school…

  • That sounds lovely!

  • wow, that’s great, Ang.  congratulations.

  • Nice! Enjoy your little slice of freedom!

  • RYC: Haven’t been anywhere special lately. Concentrating on improving my lighting after being inspired by http://strobist.blogspot.com/.

  • 3 year olds can be troublesome, but they’re sweet.  Have fun without him!

  • That is awesome.  There are these simple things along the way.  One of them is when they can buckle themselves into a car seat.

  • Yeah, freedom!  I have always said that I’m a better mother when I have an opportunity to miss my kids a little bit.  Having some me time once in a while doesn’t hurt anything at all.

RYC:  In this case, I think it has more to do with having her dad’s genetic make up than her birth order.

  • ryc: Awwwww you’re the sweetest :)

  • you’re gonna get spoiled!

  • Now you can get creative for sure!! Lots of time on your hands.

  • I guess he didn’t look back cause he was ready to have some friend’s too. LOL

  • Good for you! That is wonderful.

  • How wonderful that that worked out for you!! I want to see some of your work!!!

  • congrats girlie!  isn’t that freedom absolutely wonderful?  though i will admit to crying a little when i put my youngest one in kindergarten what was it.. shoot, 8 years ago!!  ahhhhh.. anyway, though i did cry a little when she stepped in the classroom for the first time, i suddenly found myself with a whole new kind of freedom!  and the sale of your work?  kudos!!  that has to be a wonderful feeling

  • OH! Yea for you….this is wonderful.

  • Enjoy every single moment of it! Always great to get some grown up time isn’t it?

  • I am telling you I have ideas of grander (sp) when Sammy is not with me, but then end up either geocachign or just going to sleep. Peaceful sleep not, half listening for him to make a sound sleep.

    AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

  • congratulations!  how was he when you picked him up?

  • To you the great time at the glass art , Ang !

    Love
    Michel

  • I am so jealous………my ten year old is attached to

me still by the hip…Runs away looking for a baby sitter………

  • Congratulations on selling some glass pieces and cards, to boot! That is awesome.

I am getting used to having Quin with me at all times and he’s getting tolerant of going geocaching with me so I’m not ready to put him into any kind of daycare. His birthday is just a few weeks after the cut off date for school, so he’ll be a year older than everyone once he starts school and I’m kinda glad about that. Balances out that Kendrah is 3 years younger than everyone in her class.

  • I think that is what I need to do. It doesn’t help that the local daycares seem to be in business and then go under a few months later. And as for a regular babysitter, people aren’t always as good as they seem….

  • My 3 year old is sleeping and the 3 month old foster baby is at my feet.  So xanga here I go.

  • How awesome!!  Congrats!
