ARTOMAT Goodies!
Some of my new friends don’t know that I have a small addiction… ARTOMAT! I guess you know now.
If you want to see my Artomat purchases from the past there is an album in my photos blog.
Here is the link to the Artomat site, just click the machine and it will tell you ALL about it and where to find them.
I wanted to show you my most recent treasures but for some reason Xanga isn’t uploading for me today, I wonder if I offended the God’s of Xanga upload in some way… Hmm… I’ll try again later.
I do have some pictures of something else cool that I purchased. I just couldn’t help myself.
I know some of you will look at it and think WHY?! MY GOSH! WHY?! Well… because,
I…just…couldn’t… help myself! I collect things, I like looking at things. Tiny collections are my favorite. I don’t get terribly attached and often I will give things away or trade things, it’s more about the experience of a thing, or being able to enjoy something for awhile. That makes perfect sense now, doesn’t it? Something else my newer friends may not know, I can be a bit tacky. Enough of the build up, This is what I bought, it is what it is, no one else has to like it.
I bought him at the Antiques Mega Mall. What a cool place that was. Jill you would have LOVED it! There was stuff everywhere! I also found a pair of the Bailiy’s winks cups that I have been looking for, but I had already decided to purchase Watson here, so I will continue my search for those.
Alright, I will try to upload the Artomat ART later… I WILL!
******************************EDIT***************************************
Finally! They uploaded.
I love screen printed images. I don’t know why, the lines just appeal to me.
Also I thought the Monster Box was the way to go in light of the month.
This is a piece of resin jewelry that she has poured layers of resin and painted on the seperat layers so there is a little three diminsional diamond painting in it that you can’t see in the picture.
Jon chose one of these too, His had a folk art skull in it, I was jeolous!
So those are the ones I got this trip. Right now all of them are in a neat stack in my studio, but I have plans to hang them up soon and I will post a picture of them to show you all then.

Umm..hmmmm
Interesting *grin*
Ang..you are a hoot!
OK, I need to find one of these
Ang..weird is HIGHLY under rated in my opinion..HIGHLY!!
Happy Monday
i found one of those alligator head thingees in my daughter’s old toy box that i was going through the other day. i ahve no idea how she got it.. hmmm.. maybe it is the long lost brother of the one you have? tee hee! ryc: yes.. my boss rudely called me and woke me up from a rather nice nap. geesh, you would think she expected me to work for my paycheck. the nerve!!!!
Ooooh! I want to visit out art-o-mat! maybe i’ll video tape it. Whee!
Art-o-mat is a great idea. Like getting a prize from a gumball machine when you were a kid.
Oh, that is the coolest thing ever… the art-o-mat I mean. I can’t wait to find the ones in NYC!! One’s in a museum and the other doesn’t have an address hmm… : P I would end up glancing at the croc (alligator?) in the middle of the night and freak out. Someone in my neighborhood has this harlequin-type mask in his/her window that freaks me out when I look at it by accident.
Hum… your not going to tell us what you did with the rest of that crock?
My wife want let me near places like that. We have so much junk now, you should see my room! I have stuff hidden in drawers, behind doors and in the closet! Oh my! LOL!
Art-o-mat! That’s too cool. And the heads… are they really tiny? I watched Nature on PBS last night, a show about a guy looking to measure the BIGGEST crocodile. Not these though, eh?
Very nice. What a perfect name Watson. He really does look like a Watson. I love stuff like that but I don’t collect too often these days.
the cards are cool. the gator is creepy.
The gator is something. My dad got my mom the whole little one with a body during WW2 as a gift but after we played with it over the years it just disappeared little by little. I would like the mall I’m sure. I saw the Art-o-mart before and it might have been your blog. Cool. Like little art cards?
I really like the last one!
Awesome………..I dont have a artomat close……….I likes it……….I made xanga upload angry today tooo…..I had to upload over six times and it ate seven of my pictures…………..It didnt play fair and when I was ready early this morning it told me no no no pictures for you………..I couldnt load anything until almost noon……between both sites it hated me………
If you get scary you can come back when hubby is there to hold you up…………
I think someday you will have the garage sale to end all garage sales. Set your cow stuff aside for me will ya?
Did your dad get any birds? Mine falls down every time he shoots now, but at least he can still get up again.
Ack!!
that thing give me the heebies!
Your my sister Nancy incognito aren’t you? You can admit it Angi I won’t tell, besides the whole family knows all about your addiction to kitsch and we all support you.
After all it gives us someone to give the stuff we secretly like ourselves.
Do you like rocks too?
interesting purchase. did you get the bag or shoes to go with it?
it’s things like this that keep your posts so addictive, Ang.
i soooooooo wish there was one of those near me!
Well just let me say I would love to have the alligator!!!! they are just one of the things I collect, I have a bobble head alligator on the dash of the jeep, alligator letter openers, bottle openers, thermometers….. the Art O Mat is a new concept for me ….I’ll keep my eyes open though!!!!
You’ll have to excuse me as I’m having a “lazy Tuesday”; I’m technically here today but (for the most part) I’m on autopilot. I’ve had the usual Xanga drama of having to drop a few subs, some just never come by to visit anymore, and (quite frankly) some were just getting to the point of boring me. *punt* Your outta there! Still I wanted to pop by and say howdy.
Howdy.
