    Back

I know it isn’t great scenery, I just thought he was cool looking. He was set up in the recycling bin.

He has since moved on and the recycling continues.

I have been working on glass like mad.

I finished the chickadee piece and of course forgot to take a picture of it!

    I know hard to believe.

If it is still in the store tomorrow when I go I will take a picture.

I’m hoping it won’t be though.

I am trying to get a frog piece done to take in with me tomorrow…

    I WILL remember to take a picture…

Talk about frustration though! The pieces were so small and close together that the lead lines aren’t even and the lead kept falling through on me if I tried to work on lines before the whole thing had cooled down.

I know You guys probably don’t know what I am talking about…

    Trust me… it was FRUSTRATING…

  • oh man. i have some wicked spiders in my yard too. they’re so interesting!

  • Ew, ew and ew to the spider.  LOL

    Trish

  • Not a big spider fan myself; but they sure do look cool. The scenery makes him look like he’s set up on a blue screen for television… hmm… I wonder if you could photoshop him to be somewhere else? LOL

  • i vote for chickadee pictures, no spiders.

(“SPIDER!  HE IS OUR HERO!!” – they might be giants)

  • Creepy, but cool. I can’t wait to see the pictures of what you’re working on!

  • scary! Spiders freak me out.

Have you tried putting duct tape on the back of your piece when you solder the front? It will keep the lead from bubbling through to the back. Not sure if it’ll help with the piece you’re working on, though.

Pictures, please!! I love seeing your work!

  • uh oh.. it has most assuredly been a long darn week.. because as soon as i saw these pictures (which are amazing, as usual) the spider pig song from the simpson’s movie popped in my head…

spider pig, spider pig – does whatever spider pig does.  can he climb, up a web? no he can’t, he’s a pig. look ouuuuuuuuuuuuut look out for spider pig!!!  (sung to the spider man theme of course.)

whew!  man im glad its the weekend!  it will leave me with a little time to play with my camera!

  • Hum is that anything like cutting around pools without knocking them down! Have a great weekend girl!

  • Hate spiders, and hate it when my lead falls through the cracks just because I didn’t wait for the glass to cool.  It never fails to be one of the nicest lines I’ve every soldered, too.

  • Oh I hate spiders./..I would have never gotten that close to take a pic!! You are brave!!

  • Spiders!!! aah!!! creepy!!!

  • Great shot !   They are fascinating creatures ….

  • I got in one the other day in my driveway. Hey,I saw Bob Segar and he was all that.

  • Did you name the spider Jatwan?

RYC: Yeah the fossil is unique to northeastern Illinois. Yes it does have me hostage!!!

  • hate spiders?…people, get real…they munch down all type of worse critters, like virus riddled mosquitos…i love the little guys….outside of my sixth floor windows, we have dozens on each window…they spin the most intricate designs…sometimes to show my thanks, for gobbling up all the little skeeters, i turn the lights on and leave the shades open….this attracts a big time number of dinner guests…know your place in the pecking order, and the planet can be ours….oh, uh, hi Ang….my first wife was into glass, like you…
