This makes me feel better… You guys make me feel better too.
I’m thinking it would be a good thing to stop thinking about myself so much.

RYC – oh honey, can i ever relate to what you mean about not having your gramma anymore.. i just lost my gramma a couple of weeks ago, and it has been tough. after my mom passed away when i was 15, my gram became the strong female voice in my life. man i miss her! the awesome thing is though, my youngest daughter and i took a trip up to NYC to see Gram not more than 2 weeks before she died. i wasnt going to go until next month, but something told me that i had to go in july. i am so thankful i did! gram was in a nursing home, and the last night we were there, she asked me to pray for her. after i did, she hugged my neck and said this to me: honey, i am so glad you came to see me, because this will be the last time. i love you very much, i am ready to go.”
glory! i know the Lord gave me that moment with gram, because even though i miss her terribly, i was left with an incredible sense of peace.. gram is with the Lord, and she has finally been reunited with my mom!
Yeah, that is a great story. I think I saw it when it was on ABC News the first time; and I still watched it all the way through again.
What can you do when you’re sick of yourself? Help someone else. Go serve food at a soup kitchen, make lunches for the homeless shelter, volunteer at a nursing home. It’s amazing how it puts your own problems into perspective to help someone else.
Thank you for sharing this with me and everyone here… from the opposite end of this I should say it makes a huge difference to the guys returning… its a little embarassing sometimes because they think they’re just doing their job… but its always nice to hear.
P.S. I would send you some chocolate but it would melt. Even M&M’s !!!
