    Which one? Or neither?

I was upset because I loved this one…

but I wasn’t paying attention… I should have allowed more for the back lighting

even though the sun was off to the side…

So playing with my photo editor… let me know what you think…

    Is it salvageable?

  • The first one.Love the sky!
I got some really good pix last night that I will get up for tomorrow,I am excited,it was another gorgeous sunset.

  • The first one, I like the dark blue in the clouds!

  • I likie the first one too, but they both have their qualitys

  • sorry ang but - the clouds look like fluffy white butts to me…….they are all great – I wish we had fairs like that around.

  • I remember growing sunflowers when I was young.  It would move towards the sun.  That impressed me.

  • ryc. Thanks. Yeah the clouds are too over exposed in the second one. Looks like you could bump up the brightness and the contrast just a tad in the first one and you’ll be all good.

  • I like the clouds overexposed in the second one. But, I generally prefer light to dark in almost all things. Vanilla over chocolate. Milk vs. Chocolate milk. Creme brulee over chocolate cake. Yeah, I think you get my point.

Cow butts. Nice. Not as fun as dancing cows; but a great pic nonetheless. Have you noticed that you have a preference for repeating objects, my dear?

  • Number one if you can lighten it up a bit. But I also like the sky in number two….

  • I like the first one a lot, but it would be even better if you could lighten the barn a little.

    The last picture is INCREDIBLE.

  • Take the first one brighten it about 15 – 20 % , increase the contrast 8 – 14%, darken the blacks 5 – 9 % and brighten the midlle tones about 2 – 3%. Then increase the color saturation 7-8 % and see what you think…

  • Hello Ang, getting pretty fancy with your camera, very cool pics.

    Hugs

  • I am going to be the discenting opinion and say neither… the detail in the building is too dark… if you could somehow maybe pull focus from the building it would be great of the clouds. But as it is your eye is drawn to the building first.  Or at least mine is… but its still a dang good photo- just hard to photograph stuff like that.

  • i wish i had your talent for photography! whew!!!  i do good to keep my thumb out of the way!!

  • Hmmmm  I like the first one too….   but I really like your last pic :)    wonderful as usual :)

  • I had a photo of an old building that was too dark. I use an old editor that they don’t sell any more. I cut away the sky from the building…lightened the building and put it back with the sky. It turned out good.
I love the sunflowers. I feel like I’ve been there!

  • no swine butts? I like them all

  • You know,  when you correct light,  sometimes you have to remove some colour, less saturation…  but also,  when you take photos during the middle of the day.. it tend to make the light setting on your camera  go a bit crazy,  cause there’s too much light.. the camera  compensates  and you loose definition.

Thats why I prefer  early morning and evening for images…

I would suggest,  that the next time you take a photo of a barn like that,  that you take the photo from both four angles…  like front,  left,  right and back of the building,  it’ll give you some idea later on about how the light of the sun  can ruin or make perfect an image,  depending on the angle.

    lovely barn though
