We made it home safely late last night. It was a great trip but it is always nice to be home. Even if it is messy and the lawn needs to be mowed. It’s home.
We didn’t get to go to Marvin’s, somehow most of the plans that we had for this trip fell through. MOst of what we ended up doing was just hanging out and being bums, but it was still nice.
Ben and Cooper demonstrate…
I didn’t have much chance to take pictures and I am going through a bit of withdrawal. I’m not all together sure that it’s an unhealthy thing.
Every time we drive by this sign on 8 mile it makes me smile.
There are just so many things about it that are funny to me I don’t know where to begin! A bit farther down the road is a big sign… Bob’s Rear End Specialist…
It’s a little harder to get a picture of, being on the side of a building… Some day I’ll get it.
Well, that’s all I have to share today. I have no plans for the week to come. I need to get some glass work done. Ben is home for most of the time. He is currently doing consulting work and so his schedule is much more flexible.
It doesn’t really allow me to get out of the house much, but it does allow me to do the things I want to do around here… now if I can just make myself do them. I am going to try and sneak out later this week and take pictures. I may just take my entourage with me. I have some great new boots I need to try out.

Glad you are home safe My friend,i missed you ,the hang up on the answering machine last night was me.
happy that you made it home safely. Nothing beats being home at last. yay, new boots!
Ben and Cooper have the right idea….a nap sounds divine about right now. It’s always nice to get away…but that feeling when you come back home is even better.
my favourite big sign on the Michigan State campus is the one for the “Meat Laboratory”
After traveling recently (and not spending more than one night in any location), I’ve come to the conclusion that there is nothing in this world as nice as your own bed.
Home Sweet Home, the only place on earth where when you have to go there, they have to take you in! Glad you’re back. Did you read the Potter book yet? I only read the last page in a store. I had to know if she killed him off or not. I read that the author is now richer than the Queen!
Stopping by to say hi!!!!
A do nothing week is the bestest kind to break in a new pair of boots, I always try to wear them a few nights watching TV before heading out in them.
Trusty would get a kick out of those signs as well, she sees the irony in things that I completely miss.
I am glad you are comfortably home! Wow, a whole week with no plans. What is that like!
love the pic of the boys “chilling”
the other pic didnt’ show up for me
Glad you got home safely, and I love the one of the boys hanging out.
Its great that you got home safely….and you can make up for the photo withdrawal later this week – lol! BTW, that sign is hysterical….I’d laugh myself silly driving past there each time too – lol!
have a great day Ang! RYC : Thanks, you make me blush!
Good morning, and how is my very favorite crazy lady doing? I would steer clear of the [rear end specialist] sounds a little dangerous to me. I hope life is treating you well and you are having a lot of fun in whatever you are up to. I miss rappin with you, I always look forward to the little bit of crap you give me. LOL. things are good here, car running good, I feel good, don’t get much better than that for an old guy.
Hugs and more Hugs

Glad you guys made it back safely.. Ben and Cooper have the right idea there…nothing like hanging out an catching a nap or three while on vacation.
I like the signs. We are always taking pics of the crazy signs along the road. “Stinking Creek Road” on I75 in TN is one of my favorites.
Have a great day!
Ok- so I didn’t do my penence this time, but I did get caught up. I used to have a whole collection of signs that either I had taken or were gifts to me- then one day my computer crashed and away they all went…
Among my favorites were
The corner of “banger and leever” (a street sign)
A photo of two green arrows turned on at the local mall. (this is odd because you can’t go straight on that road, and thus, the two arrows I speak of point opposite directions and are stacked on top of eachother… it really makes you wonder… just where do you go?)
Snake Crossing
and still my ultimate favorite…..
“Caution: Water on road during rain” (Duh!!!)
well now all I can think about is that sign of Bob’s and why it’s so difficult to photograph….my favorite road sign is the one for “Toad Suck Park” it’s in Arkansas near Conway on I-40.
welcome back home! tired from the trip eh?
I always enjoy the little bits you share. Thank you! One of these days I need to get you down to my town so we can hang.
You really have to get that Bob’s Rear End pic!
Hope you get a chance to rest up after your trip! Now get those boots broken in!
