  • Random Junk About ME

“Rules”After posting these rules, each player proceeds to list 8 relatively random facts/habits about himself/herself. At the end of the post, the player then tags 8 people and posts their names, leaving them a comment on their blogs to let them know.

I have been tagged by Meg…

    1. I hate sitting with my back towards a door. I will not do it if I am in a restaurant… The only place this doesn’t bug me is the movie theater. I suppose it’s that mental justification thing…  for example…
    2. When I was a kid I hated putting my head under the covers. I still do. I had a very active imagination, as all children do. I would imagine that if I wasn’t covered by a blanket that a monster would cut off the exposed part of me… I some how prefaced this with an except for my head…
    3. I love looking at THINGS. I just enjoy it. I don’t need to own them, or even really want them. I just like looking at stuff. I think this comes from being dragged to countless flea markets and antique stores when I was a child.
    4. I laugh when I am nervous, which sometimes makes for some incredibly tense and uncomfortable moments. My first real kiss ever I laughed in the boys face. Not a good moment.
    5. I collect Aunt Jemimah bottles.
    6. I feel guilty because I spend entirely too much time on Xanga.
    7. I love to look through lite windows when I’m walking or driving down a street at night.
    8. I’m scared to try a lot of the things I want to do in life.

  • I get the xanguilt, too!

What do you do with the Aunt Jemimah bottles?

  • Awww Ang!  Why’d you have to go and do that????  I’m already behind on a deal I volunteered to do and then you tagged me!  You know what goes around comes around?  Just remember that.  I sold a neat Aunt Jemima syrup jar in my garage sale, if I had only known last month that you like them I would have happily sent her to you.  An antiques dealer bought her and I’d have liked it a lot more knowing where she went!  How weird is that?  Whoops…I should’ve save that for my random facts list.  Oh well.  Peace

  • RYC:  I have 5 of the 8.   Have a great day.

  • interesting stuff ang :)   you are unique and quite loveable :)

  • I haven’t been buy in awhile. You have posted some neat things. I have to add that I too had a similar notion when I was a child. Except my head was included in part of me that had to be under the covers. I could not sleep without being covered up,even when it was really hot. All that stuck out was my nose. I also went as far as to have my bed full of stuffed animals so that the monster couldn’t tell which lump was me. Crazy! To think a blanket could protect me.I had very vivid dreams when I was little. Maybe it’s because my mom watched Dark Shadows in the afternoon. Remember that show?

  • mmmmhmmm…just finished softball…#1 in the league…had a couple brewski’s…will do my tagged post when I’m sober.  :)   XOXOXO

  • I’m working on it I’m working on it…

    ttfn…

  • for me everything but 4 and 7 apply

  • haha – I could echo number six, but I have too much fun on here to waste time with feeling guilty for it!

  • Hey Ang!  I actually share number 1 with you, and you and my son get on pretty well with number 4 – which is extremly irritating when hes done something naughty and I am trying to discipline him and he is LAUGHING AT ME!

    Have an awesome weekend!

  • Don’t feel guilty … we love hearing from you.

  • Hi Angi!  I feel guilty about spending too much time on Xanga AND I feel guilty when I don’t spend enough time on Xanga.  Does that make sense??  I think it does and it screams “ADDICT”!!

You and my husband would get along just great.  He always goes to flea markets and auctions, etc.  He can spend HOURS looking at the stuff.  Not me .. I can do a whole flea market in 5 minutes tops!!  (not that I ever go to flea markets, because I’m too busy on Xanga!!)

    Happy Friday!! Alicia

  • Aunt Jemimah bottles?  That’s definitely interesting! :)

  • I knew you said something about mailing the mail art, but I looked for a message and thought maybe I imagined it (I don’t know why I think this sometimes, it’s never the case). FOUND IT “Mail Art coming your way FRIDAY…” If you sent it, I never got it. : (

  • Girl…were we separated at birth?
    # 2 and 5, I don’t do that, the rest, yeah…pretty much, hehe.
    Too cool!

    ryc:
That is so awesome, that your kids have charity money. Making them aware of the world, and teaching them how to share. You are an amazing, excellent mom, sweetie.
And the wolves would so appreciate it.

    Have a great weekend, sweetie.
    Hugs,
    L

  • When I was 3 or so I used to “scoot” around the tile floor in the kitchen on my butt and he started calling me scooter…somehow it evolved to Scutter and that’s what he called me…including the very last time I saw him.  :)

Thanks for the encouragement…I’m in a funk…so positive words and vibes are much appreciated right now.

  • this was very good and not very random, it was a nice look inside you, angie. you rock.

  • I did a big post for this taggin’. I just realized I need to credit you for the inspiration . . .

  • You collect Aunt Jemimah bottles?  The old glass ones or the plastic ones?

  • I was OK with the covers, but could not let any part of my body hang off the edge of the bed, or else monsters would cut that part off.
