Digging deep but not coming up with much so I thought I’d fall back on my old faithful source of information.

Do men need sex more often than women?
Men are often told that they have sex on the brain, and it appears as though this may be true.
In one recent study in Nature Neuroscience, a team of researchers had 28 men and women look at erotic photographs while an MRI took scans of their brain. The subjects looked at arousing photographs of heterosexual couples engaged in sexual activity, sexually attractive nudes of the opposite sex, and at pictures of men and women in non-sexual situations. When analyzing the MRI results, researchers found that two areas of the brain, the amygdala and the hypothalamus, were more activated in men than in women when viewing identical sexual stimuli.
So, do men have sex on the brain? Of course, and do bears shit in the woods?
We really didn’t need a team of researchers to answer this one.

I know all of the men out there are going to use this as an excuse now, but I have to say… I’m just not sure it’s true. I mean really?
We all know that men and women are stimulated differently… Right?
It seems to me that women could think about sex just as much as men if they had the right stimulation… Pictures do it for men, words do it for women.

It seems that men want one thing …a backrub for you = sex for them…a night out for you= sex for them, a cuddle on the couch= sex for them….women are happy to snuggle, give a massage or to be wined and dined just for the sake of it…Men do it for ???? SEX!!!!

definitely a biased test. i mean, show a picture of a naked couple to a group of girls and they are far more likely to start guessing whether the naked chick’s boobs are real, how much is airbrushed out and what sort of workout she does..
i also just think its a broader spectrum of interest levels with girls than guys.

Yup, it all has to do with stimulation (ha–I said it, too!). I’m glad men and women are wired differently. If you want a great book, read The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman. It’s amazing to have it shown that the way you show love is how you want to get it, not necessarily how your mate wants it. Men can learn that shaking their penis (ha! I said that, too!) at women rarely gets them more than just a laugh (although we’ve all probably managed to keep the laugh inside). Anyway, fun book!

Absolutely. Women want and enjoy sex every bit as much as men. They’re just stimulated differently. You say words do it for women. I say it’s shopping. Nothing gets a woman in the sack quicker than a trip to her favorite fashion boutique to by a few new outfits.
