  • Pointless rambling, is something I’m very good at, so I thought I’d give it a shot here.

We are doing absolutely nothing today. Cooper and I are watching Fantasia 2000, I guess that’s something.

Why do I feel guilty just sitting here? I feel like I should be downstairs working on a project, or out doing something. You know, there isn’t anything I want to do today. Besides be with my family and if I’m being truthful, which I try to be, since I am a completely HORRIBLE liar. (I always get caught) Okay where was I?  Oh, being truthful, I can’t wait for bed time.

I bought Hello Dolly today and I plan on snuggling under my covers and watching Barbara Strisand wrap Walter Matthow round her little finger. Isn’t that what all women do? Wrap men around their fingers? Well, if the guy is lucky.

Until then I plan on continuing to do nothing. I’m going to sit on the couch with my computer and let Cooper climb on me when he feels like it. Just call me Mt. Mommy.

    Hmmm…

Now I’m thinking this isn’t such a great idea. I have two glass panels in the works downstairs and I just got a new CD that is calling to me and my butt is going numb from sitting here doing nothing.

I’m done doing nothing. It’s downstairs I go. I guess this pointless ramble is over. Thanks you guys for helping me see that guilt (although I hate it) Is a great motivator. Well that and circular thinking.

  • OUCH…

Why does life have to be so painful sometimes?

Things here are good, but I’ve been reading some friends blogs that just make my heart ache for them. Of course we all want to say that pain is a learning experience that without it we wouldn’t know what joy is, blah, blah blah…

The truth is that life just hurts sometimes and it SUCKS.

How do we make it better? I wish I could.

  • I am a game nut. I love games. One of my favorite things to do with my sister is play games. Trivial Pursuit of course, because I am full of useless information, Pictionary, Cranium, Taboo, and others.

I love to play Boggle with Ben and recently Scrabble. We like to play cards any chance we get.

Are there any games you all like to play? What are you good at?

This is one of my favorite Magazines… Every month I wait impatiently for the new one to hit the shelves. Have any of you ever gotten it? It’s great fun if you like games.I highly recommend it if you like pencil puzzles and it always has Pop culture games, Check it out.   I got all of the candy bars on this cover right except for two… scary…

  • Alphonse Mucha

     Just because I like them.

  • Nothing going on here. Can’t go any where.

I could clean the house, but where’s the fun in that? I may just break down and do it.

I can tell this no car thing isn’t going to last long. I can’t handle being trapped at home. Just can’t stand it. I need to be free.

Sure, I can hear you all saying ‘But ANG you never go any where.’

That isn’t the POINT!!! At least I have the option to go. Now I don’t have that.

     Not a good thing.*sigh*

  • Well Last night was GREAT! Went to a local restaurant Trattoria Stella and met the girls, eight of us all together. Night out 3-9-07 005.stella upclose.jpg

The food is WONDERFUL, I’m told the wine is good too but since I don’t drink I’ll take their word for it. The atmosphere is heavenly.

It’s in  part of the Old State Hospital that has been renovated and your surrounded by all of this beautiful white brick. There are arches all over and each table feels like your in your own little world.  I took a few pictures to share of the outside of the building just because their so gorgeous.

The grounds have one of every kind of tree indigenous to the State of Michian.. It’s really impressive and the history is fun too although a bit scary.

Night out 3-9-07 metal door.jpg There are a few of these in the restaurant. Their just cool doors. They don’t know what they were originally used for, but they look pretty.

Night out 3-9-07 spire.jpg The Spires are beautiful. You can see them from different parts of Traverse City.

Night out 3-9-07 015.jpg In my enthusiasm for the buildings I forgot that I should be telling you about the evening.

We went to see a production of The Full Monty put on by the local community Play House.

WOW. If you ever get a chance to go see this play do it was hilarious. My favorite song in the production was called Big Ass Rock. We were all laughing hysterically through the whole show. I have to say for a community production it was very well done.

Then I went home to sleep. That was my time. It was good.

  • Your Brain is Orange
Of all the brain types, yours is the quickest.
You are usually thinking a mile a minute, and you could be thinking about anything at all.
Your thoughts are often scattered and random – but they’re also a lot of fun!

You tend to spend a lot of time thinking about esoteric subjects, the meaning of life, and pop culture.

My brain deserves some attention. It’s taken a beating lately. I’m not sure exactly how you pamper a brain, but I can come up with something.
Tonight is going to be fun. It’s a girl’s night. I’m meeting my Mamala and a bunch of our friends at Trattoria Stella for dinner and then were going to see The Full Monty at the Playhouse.
I can’t wait to give a full report. Ang

  • Noggin is GREAT. I’m a little forgetful and disoriented upon occasion, but Ben says that’s normal for me.

The Family is great. My wings are going to be clipped for awhile which means posting is going to be hard, but I’ll come up with something. I just might have to dig out the nipples book again.

    I’m going back to bed.

  • Such is life…

    accident 3-5-07 002.jpg accident 3-5-07 001.jpg accident 3-5-07 016.jpg accident 3-5-07 018.jpg

Well here are some pictures. Ben took them all and I’m not sure he knew how to quite use my camera. The first two are at the scene of the crime, the third is at the junk yard my car now calls home until they rip her apart and sell her bits and pieces. The last one is from the inside looking out of the windshield. I just thought it was cool looking.

The tow guy said that he had five more calls in the same spot that day, one of which was a four car pileup involving a police car.

All right moving on to brighter subjects. In the hospital, I was in the newly constructed emergency room area. It was very impressive, but what was the most fun was the art work. One of my favorite local artist’s has done several things that are in the hospital. His name is Glenn Wolfe and  I have been seeing bits and pieces of his art since I was very young. I can’t find anything more on him to show you but at the hospital they have a beautiful new work, it huge, probably 4ftx6ft. And they wheel you under it as you enter the wing. I was addled and I still said WOW…  Ben took a picture of it for me but it isn’t a great picture and I’m not sure even if it was you would get the full effect of how BIG and BRIGHT it is. I still wanted to put it up.

accident 3-5-07 009.jpg What do you think?

Hope every one is well. Thanks for all of the well wishes. The Noggin is still tender and I’m pretty sure my brain is a little rattled, but everything here is good. Ang

  • IRONIC…

This morning I made a doctors appointment. Ben was coming to take us to it. I got Cooper dressed and then myself, barely. I pulled on sweats and my last clean tshirt, the one that says “It’s only funny til’ someone gets hurt then it’s freakin’ hilarious!”  no underwear, I figured I was just going into the office quick and coming home and the effort was just too much.

So Ben picks us up and we set out. Well on the way there we start sliding and hit the ditch where the car then flips over three time. I remember seeing the windshield shatter and then I was hanging upside down. I managed to unbuckle myself. Cooper thought it was fun I think until he realized he was upside down and Mommy and Daddy weren’t fixing it. By this time the car was being swarmed by people. I could hear them but not see them and I was trying to get Ben unbuckled I could see that Cooper was alright. He did look like a little bat though. The people outside managed to get the car door open on Ben’s side, I told them I keep a pair of kitchen shears in the drivers door, They found them quickly cut Ben out while other pulled poor Cooper out who was so happy to be out he didn’t care that complete strangers were holding him. So the ambulance looked Cooper over and asked if I wanted them to take me to the emergency room because the ceiling on my side had actually caved in just enough  to give me a goose egg on my noggin.

An ambulance ride would have been a new experience but being the practical person that I am, I had my Mamala take us.

So I have been in the hospital all day. I had a catscan and a chest exray, I’ve been given two bags of IV fluids and antibiotics and potassium`. They think they’ve found the problem and fixed it. My noggin is just dandy, a little tender and I’m feeling a little sore. I had a nice long time in a comfortable bed while I was being pumped full of fluids. I watched some TV Not As A Stranger with Robert Mitchum and Olivia DeHavillande was the only good thing on, I forgot how little there is to watch on TV in the daytime. The irony of watching a movie about doctors while one is in a hospital was appealing.

Then as we were leaving and I was allowed to get myself into the shameful amount of clothing that I came in with, the irony of the tshirt I was wearing hit me too.

    So let’s see

    • Accident on the way to doctors appointment, end up going to see different doctors.
    • That whole never leave the house thing in holy undies… well try in no undies thing…
    • Watching a movie about doctors and a hospital while in a hospital.
    • Being the jackass who’s wearing the tshirt making fun of getting hurt… and then getting hurt.

Oh Yeah… I’d say I’ve had a day FULL of irony. On the upside, I feel better then I have in days, and we’ve needed a seven passenger vehicle. Anyway. I’m fine, Missing all of you though, I should be up to catching up on everyones lives soon I hope. Ang

Alright so I have a few spelling and punctuation errors… my Noggin is starting to hurt, deal with it.
