  • Today I was waiting for the hammer of inspiration to hit me on the head and give me the words I needed for a post.

It came in the form of a The Great Piratess… who said.

Hey, you could write about sharing the brain. I’ll even link you. Oh…and I never gave it back…that may be the problem. Here…here’s the brain. That was selfish of me.
    ..

Well of course it wasn’t selfish of her… I mean I hardly ever need it.  Except for section three… and do you really NEED a brain for that?

The great thing about Xanga is that we’re able to reach out and form a community of sorts, with people we may have never met other wise. I’m sure I’m not telling you all anything you don’t know. But the warm fuzzy feelings we receive when we find a person we can share a brain with… Those are just priceless.

So I made a sketch of our brain… I’m thinking The Great Piratess will like it. I hope she likes it, She can alter it when it’s her turn to get it back… (Man you wouldn’t believe some of the stuff she shoves in here… I’m sure she feels the same way. I mean a six hour Monty Python marathon… What was I thinking?!)

    • It just isn’t coming today.
    • Man, I wish it would get here.

  • Music as promised. It was a seven minute piece but Ben edited it down for me to three because I know we of the Xanga world have VERY short attention spans. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Well maybe not as MUCH as I do. Oh… for anyone who doesn’t know what I’m talking about… See the prior post!

  • Worship us!

Today is a day for MEN… Superbowl Sunday. Yes there are a few select women who enjoy this sacrosanct of all days. But it truly is a day for men.

So, is it any wonder on this Hollowed day. My thoughts turn to MEN. It might have something to do with the fact that I’m preparing to watch a bunch of them in spandex pants, take the field where, they will proceed to grab each other and tumble into big delicious man piles…

    Sorry, I was temporarily distracted…

Where was I… Oh Men. I was thinking about what it is that make us women melt. Why is it that we fall for the stereo types. The poet, the musician, the artist, the jock, the nerd or man of brilliance, as I prefer to think of them.

I think that I have come to the conclusion that it all depends on how we dream of being worshipped.

Do I want my image immortalized in a portrait? A song? A poem? I know a Snowmaker who has made some women very happy.

Do we dream of having our man score a touch down or win a game, all for us. Like the knights of old perhaps, that would carry our favors tucked within their armor as they faced off in a joust.

Do we want a man of brilliance, who will create something for us to admire, who can fix whatever we need and kiss us and pat our tush and say “Anytime babe.” Making us feel like the world revolves around our every need and whim.

Men, all I know is I have a great appreciation. How blessed we are as women to have such offerings of testosterone.

I appreciate my own on so many levels. He fills a little of all of my dreams, and he often pats me on the tush and says “Anytime Babe.”

Yesterday I made a recording of one of the things he does that I love the best…

MINDS OUT OF THE GUTTER PEOPLE…

He was playing the PIANO… yesh… You guys.

So today I will put up a picture. A tease, if you will of my own piece of testosterone… And let you see how he looks when he’s making me melt. Or as I like to think of it… worshiping me with his music.

The music will follow tomorrow. When you aren’t paying attetion to the game and can truly appreciate it.

  • ben piano 003.jpg I have to ask… Is this how any of you would want to spend your afterlife? Stuffed and paddling a canoe to no where in a Mickey D’s?

    Not me…

    Poor little critters.

ben piano 002.jpg There was another one over the pop machine. At least these two have each other.

He was all alone in his little boat.

Now I appreciate the funny and unusual… but really, where does someone come up with something like this. I mean come on.

Locus Delicti- Latin for ‘Scene of the Crime’… It’s on the mantel because that looks better then on the floor in front of the mantle.

We have three children. Only two of which were conceived in this house, so you have a one in two shot of guessing the right one.

    I know, too much information.

At least I don’t have poor little Rocky Racoon on my mantel. Ang

OH SO  “LOCUS DELICTI” the words on my fireplace mantle from the picture in my  last post… no one guessed what it meant. Do any of you know? It might fall under the realm of ‘too much information’… but give it a guess. Ang

  • My Favorite THINGS

I was tagged yesterday to do my favorite things. I think I’ve narrowed it down.

Favorite thing post 008.jpg Favorite thing post 007.jpg #1 My laptop.

Without it I wouldn’t have all of you. Or a way to edit my photos,  build playlists, burn CD’s,and I’d have to go back to writing in a note book that eventually falls apart, where I could  never find what I need and I lost pages constantly.

So, Yeah for my lap top. It is a work in progress and I love it. Favorite thing post 005.jpg

#2 would be my night stand area. It’s were I sit at Cooper’s nap time and do my writing, reading and daydreaming. Favorite thing camera

#3 Is my NEW camera… I get to take pictures of stupid things that allow me to do all of these AWESOMELY entertaining, QUALITY blogs.

    (yeah right)

I like my camera. It goes every where I go.

That’s it for my favorite things… I have other favorite THINGS… but I’ll save them for later.

Favorite thing post 011 For the next couple of weeks these will be a dozen of my favorite things.

Ben (my Ben) Has joined Xanga. He has a very interesting post up today I think you’ll all enjoy, stop by and check it out.

Make sure you read to the end.

I wonder if the flowers were a bribe to get me to link him? Sokay… I’ll take them! Hey? How come you all don’t give me flowers when I link you?

Favorite thing post 021.jpg #5. I forgot this one… My James Christiansen

collection… I was working as a mat cutter in Utah while Ben was at BYU. I used left over molding and made all of the frames myself, and all of the mat work… I have a few prints, but these are still my favorites because they remind me of our poor college days, and our tiny apartment .

Oh… the fireplace… anyone know what it means?

I was supposed to tag people but I think I’m just going to say if you want to DO IT… It was fun. Ang
