  • I’m thinking again… It hurts.

So I’m going to share some ART by one of my favorite artists Jasper Johns.

Jasper Johns untitled This is one of my favorites. I believe its untitled but sometimes I find these things and save them and lose names.

    Jasper Johns. Fig. 8

Jasper Johns. Flag in Orange Feild

     Jasper Johns… 0-9

He is probably most famous for this. But it is probably my least favorite thing he’s done. I prefer this one

I think I’m done sharing. Hope you guys like them.

  • Do they have any meaning?

  • that art makes my brain hurt lol j/k

  • I liked the Figure 8 the best…the other are very colorful but not really my speed as artwork goes.

  • Very nice!

  • I like the second one.  I first one makes me agitated – like I want to break something.  -also 0-9 hurts my brain.

  • My favorite of those is 0-9.

My favorite artist/style is Monet/Impressionism, though I do have other styles and artists I love.

Sorry it hurts to think. I think I really messed the brain up bad this time…and I didn’t even abuse it with illegal substances! No, really, I didn’t.

  • My wife tells me I over analyize.  lol

  • I have to admit that my favorite artists are D1 and D2.  They actually have talent, so it’s not such a stretch for me to love them.  There have been actual professional artists running throughout my family tree (some of the biggest nuts, too), so I have some original pieces that mean the world to me.  I think the first non-family piece of art that really wowed me was “Nude Descending a Staircase” by Henri Duchamp.  It remains one of my favorite pieces of art from someone with whom I have no personal connection.

  • I really like Govinder Nazran.  I have a thing for elephants and he has some that resurface from time to time that I really like.  I have two poster/prints of his in our kitchen.

  • Okay, I may have gone to a liberal arts school; but fine arts was never my thing. But, I did happen to hear about ole Jasper because I just read my Newsweek from a week or so ago, and they had a big article about him (but no pics of any of these particular pieces of art, ironically enough!). Look it up if you’re interested.

I’m an impressionist kinda gal, Monet being my favorite. I think he’s kinda “art for dummies,” which explains why I like his stuff. Renoir is okay too; but I like landscapes more than people when it comes to art, so Monet is the clear winner for me.

Do you like me even if I am art illiterate? LOL

  • I guess I don’t have the appreciation for art. Don’t have a favorite artist. I like Rockwell’s stuff.  I know, no imagination.

  • you have interesting taste in art. i’m a klimt, picasso, dali fan myself.

  • i’m a big fan of abstract art — paul klee, picasso, matisse.

  • Gustav Klimpt and Jim Dine

  • Neat stuff.  I am not particular about an artist as I am  more about individual pieces.  One of those is Donna Howell Sickles.

  • My favorite art….would be textile design and art deco…both are my expressions of choice. My favorite artist are M.C. Escher, Klimt and Jasmine Becket-Griffith. What does that mean? LOL

  • Don’t think, it can be dangerous ;)   I resist as often as I can…

Love art, but don’t have a favorite artist.  I used to draw/paint myself and had a little talent, but never really got any good training and then let it slack off once I got married and had kids.  Now looking back, yeah, I can draw better than the “average” person, but I’m no great artist.  I do like landscapes and seascapes a lot.  Hubby likes the art of Olivia, but then, most of those pieces are half-naked women, so what do you expect from a guy? ;)

  • According to my friends, I have no taste in art because I like Thomas Kincaid. Think that is true?

  • Love art, all of it. It has been a big part of my life. Love Mignon, Escher and many others. I am a realist. Love Dali. Loved Picasso before he invented his modern art. Just love art for Arts sake. And, of course, I love my own!

  • Wow that 0-9 picture is cool, thanx for sharing !!!

  • My favorite Art is Garfunkel.

  • I like so many different artists – Dali, VanGogh, Ansel Adams, Baziotes. They’re all inspiring in their own ways.

It’s just like everything with me; music, movies, books… I have a hard time sticking to one genre.

  • I have to say my favorite artist is my art mentor Thomas Wise. But I am also drawn to David Armstrongs paintings and Wyeth (?-spelling may be wrong) I am starting to get a taste for slightly abstract paintings but I’m mostly into realism.

  • Thomas Kincade… or however you spell it… I’m tired, need sleep.

  • If you stare at the white dot in the green flag for a minute or so then  look at a white page, you will see the red white and blue…

  • I like sumi’e its a form of Oriental Painting . Sumi-E – Zen brush painting  its a form of Japanese Calligraphy I actually know how to do it too, I have not practiced in two years though

  • Nice Art……………… ………………….Dont have a favorite………….But art is nice …………
