  • WEEKEND SPRAWL

    ******************************EDIT***********************

Well the rest of the day is gone. It was uneventful and unprductive but nice.  I’ll leave you with one of my favorite poems. It just reminds me of my day. *sigh*

    Crowded Tub

There are too many kids in this tub
There are too many elbows to scrub
I just washed a behind that I’m sure wasn’t mine
There are too many kids in this tub.

    Sheldon Allan Silverstein

The weekend is starting well. I was allowed to sleep until 8:30 this morning and now the bed is full of little monsters watching Saturday morning cartoons.

Excuse me while I remove this foot from my face…

I know I joke a lot and call my children Monsters, well sometimes they are, or monkeys, sometimes thier that too. But I love being a Mom. I love all crowding in bed or going out as a family or just having them here. I mean if your going to have children you should enjoy them right? Otherwise what’s the point?

  • My youngest son’s nickname is Monster!

  • I never understand why people have them to be raised by daycare and Nannys,I know a girl who works to get away from her kids!

  • That’s what makes me want to have monsters, I mean, kids – a whole bed full of them!

  • My son is 15 but I sooooooooo remember those days!  I love being a Mom and sometimes wish I didn’t stop at one, but life goes on.  Have an awesome weekend!  :)

  • My youngest monster crawled in bed with me this morning and told me I needed to get up to play Uno Spin with him. Last night my oldest, (10), was asking if he could sleep with us, lol! I love to cuddle with my little mosters, lol! I just know they will not want to do that to much further in the future so I enjoy it as much as possible now.

  • Yes, I agree my favorite is a crowded sofa for a good movie!

  • no, you rock!!!

  • Yup, love the monsters. I’m all done having them; but I do love the ones I have. That doesn’t exclude me from wanting to ring their necks from time to time; but I do love them. Girly Girl is out in the driveway with a friend, practicing twirling the color guard flags. My boy is skateboarding with a friend. Hubby is snoring on the couch. All is right in the world. For now. :)

  • heehehe.. I used to do that to my parents too. :) tickling them while they are still asleep. keke..

  • You can tell you enjoy them.

Thank you for sending your friends with all their kind words my way.

  • i love my lil and big monsters too :)   kids are trying, but boy are they worth it!  such love!

ryc:  i made #10 once before…and it is a lil thrill!  it’s not like i’m vain, but i do enjoy making fc :)

  • you gotta love Shel Silverstein!!The Cover Of The Rolling Stone was always one of my fvorites of his!

  • I love my kids, too. As they’ve gotten older I miss when they were young and times I couldn’t be with them. Still, sometimes I need a break to return to some form of sanity. I usually end up missing them, though…even if it’s jut a night.

  • One our ‘monsters’ cooked stuffed shells, mozzarella sticks, and cut a loaf of Italian bread for dinner tonight.    They do get better.

  • i love shel silverstein ;)

  • Gotta love good ole Shel.  I just found out that he wrote the song “A Boy Named Sue” by Johnny Cash.  Made sense when I realized that!

My kids are monsters, monkeys, etc. too.  We actually play around and we are Mommy Monster, Daddy Monster, Michael Monster and Katy Monster.  Of course, the little princess doesn’t always agree with that, but what can you do? ;)

  • they’re all monsters and monkeys at some points – even the most perfectly behaved.

  • I have 50 kids….oh wait or is that just voices in my head? what?who? what notebook? sunday.

  • Its the little things we do and say, that mean so much as we go our way. A kindly deed can lift a load from weary shoulders on the road. Thanks! Enjoy those little ones! Sounds like you had a great start of a wonderful week-end. ***I

  • I dont know what just happened…but, please feel free to delete…oops! As I was saying…I have off tonight

  • You mean they’re not just cheap domestic help?  I’m shocked!

  • I love being a mom, but I can’t stand kids in my bed. I barely want Scott in there!!  LOL  I need my space.

  • I love that poem! He was so creative and funny.
