  • My recent brush with a dead celebrity started me thinking about  strange things that people claim to see. I remember seeing the movie Fire In The Sky. If you haven’t seen it, it’s about an alien abduction. At the time that the movie was released, I was living in an apartment in Utah with five other girls, in itself a surreal event.

One of my roommates was from Snowflake, Arizona. She knew the man who the movie was based on. She said he truly believed he had been abducted and that he was a bit odd. Well I can imagine, if all of that had happened to me I would be odd too… I mean more odd.

In 1973 there was an alien sighting near here in a town called Manistee. There have been other sightings in fact one as recent as yesterday. Although when I was looking at the pictures of her sighting I think that it looked more like there was a seed on her camera view finder, then a UFO in the sky.  What made the sighting in 1973 different is that it was witnessed by an entire police force. I think someone may have slipped them some special brownies myself…or perhaps they were testing evidence in the evidence room. Then again maybe they really did see a UFO.

It’s strange that I live so close to a place where there are frequent sightings and I still haven’t seen a UFO, maybe it’s because I’m so busy finding pop icons here on the ground. Hmmm.

I have seen an unidentified object before, on a road trip to California. We were passing by Vegas,as we were approaching the city I was starring in awe at the gorgeous city skyline, all neon and bright in the Nevada summer night. (Hey I’m a poet.) So I was watching the skyline, when a light I had  thought was a part of the others,  rose and separated itself from them. Then, in a flash it moved leaving a bright slash of light across the sky that disappeared almost immediately. It was odd. I still don’t know what it was and I’m not claiming it was a space ship, it was fast and it was unidentified and it made an impression on me. That’s all I’m saying. Besides if I were an alien I think Las Vegas would be on my list of places I could blend in. So why not?

All right here I go again… I know you’ve all seen it coming. I just can’t help myself. Have any of you ever witnessed a Unidentified Flying Object? Maybe just an Unidentified Object?

Come on… no one is going to think your weirder then I am, I’m sure…so spill. Ang

  • Not sure. Not in awhile at least. John Mack worked at Cambridge Hospital though. He died a year ago and was one of the authorities on abductions. Was going to post on him at the time, but didn’t ever get around to it. He was a medical doctor, or psychiatrist who took the accounts seriously. Well known for it, I guess.
