Apparently if you go to a zoo you are supposed to post zoo pictures.
I have to tell you though that I am not fond of taking pictures of animals in the zoo.
For me it’s like going to a turkey farm and shooting a turkey… Where’s the challenge?
I did take some though, Of course! I can’t not take pictures and I do LOVE the zoo.
Where else can you wander around aimlessly looking at things and no one thinks your a nut.
Yup, zoos are right up my alley.
First though, my nephew got a camera for his birthday.
He is three.
Every time I would take his picture he would want to take mine… I had to start being covert about it.
Every picture he took of me is a cleavage shot.
It was NOT intentional.
Okay on to the zoo.
My entourage.
Getting five kids to look at the camera is impossible.
Prairie dogs… Personal space? Never heard of it.
Poison dart frog
^I like this.^
Croquet anyone?
Who gets that one?
This guy was checking Cooper out.
The Arctic exhibit in Detroit is really very nice.
Bear Butt… Oh yeah, I’m funny.
Isn’t nature beautiful?
There were two guys primping and preening…
This guy did nothing and she chose him.
I had to take this picture… every once in a while this guy would play with himself.
Typical male.
This guy was eyeballing me.
Of course it could have been paranoia setting in after walking around in the heat all day.
Nah… he was eyeballing me.
You know, I really don’t like the penguin house in Detroit.
In Grand Rapids there is a zoo called the John Ball Zoo.
The penguin exhibit is really cool.
There is a plexi glass wall about five feet tall and then its all open. The penguins swim right up to you.
Very cool.
My favorite picture of the day.
There ZOO pictures! Are you all happy NOW???

I’m happy. And that’s all that matters really
I love love love your Zoo pics, if that counts for anything.
Where’s your nephew’s blog? I think we all want to see his pictures from the day.
was that an alice in wonderland reference?
and yay for zoo pictures- i dont care if its easy they’re fun to take and fun to look at
Wow! You got some fantastic shots!! That zoo looks awesome! Ours is pretty good, but very spread out, so it’s about 5 miles to walk!
I love animals and kids and fountains and even zoos but would much rather see the clevage pictures.
Bah!!! I just spent a long time on your page, gpoing back several ‘next five’ sets. No cleavage shots ANYWHERE! Bah…
Everything else was very stimulating. I do believe your getting better and better at this blog thing. I liked the zoo pictures, too. Are there any praire dog colonies in Michigan? I doubt it. Several years ago it was legal to have a praire dog as a pet. We can’t have them in Massachusetts though. (about your animal/bird rehab comment you made to me a long while ago now – Actually, I wouldn’t attempt that. My idea is more like a terrarium. Nice salamander shot from your son. Do you have any ID for it?
i LOVE the pics!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the prayers, Angela!

How did I know someone was going to want to see cleavage photos? LOL
Lovely photos as always… I feel like I was there with you. Thanks for sharing, you made me happy.
ANG!!! You’ve outdone yourself!!!!! Those pics are awesome…………and the kids aren’t so bad themselves. As for the cleavage shots….you’re lucky you’ve got a cleavage to show off, my dear friend – BE PROUD – LOL!
Have an awesome day!
yep… happy. very nice.
Yep except for the last pic… it didn’t come through for me! Who is the beautiful red head in the fountain pic,? Im am a sucker for red heads!
Ang, Great Pics! even if you are shooting turkeys, it still takes an expert to shoot a bullseye and you have hit the ace. Great pics of the kids. Now I will return to my pics of snow and dream of cooler days.
great pics. Where’s the nephew’s lol
Now those are some great pictures. The kids are beautiful. And that monkey looks almost like the guy I see in my mirror every morning.
Great pictures, hope you had a good time.
Fab pics!! I love taking the kids to the zoo, their excitement beats any of the animals (besides that elephant that shoved his trunk up another elephants butt crack…my eldest who was 6 I think, was mortified and I spent most of the day laughing, remembering the shocked look on her face as she turned to look at me for an explanation)
where’s the lions??? the tigers??? I love the cats,
I never did get around to posting my zoo pictures… maybe I should do that??? but I do still have the dial up… so it will take a while… LOVE the peacocks!!!
I can’t wait to take the boyz to the Lincoln Park Zoo in chicago… that was my favorite place to go as a kid… that and the Field Museum… they have a great butterfly exhibit… that was always my favorite & then of course the dinosaurs!!!
can’t wait to take pictures there…
ttfn…
I love them! They’re so adorable except for that poison dart frog… I wouldn’t go near him
Is that a seal checkin out “The Coop?”
Whatever it was…seal, otter, other – that’s a great picture with Cooper! I love it. I also love the fact that you take the time to do this and then share it with us. Good job! Peace
My pics from the zoo never look half as cute, so it isnt just shooting at turkeys at the farm… Your pictures look great. I was wondering who wouldn’t know the Alice in Wonderland comment… then I realized that kids today dont watch all the older movies all the time like I did as a kid.
great pics, its weird, but I think on the 18th I was photographing the same bird primping and preening, but the light in the shot was terrible, I had no batteries so couldn’t use the flash… ah the life on a boat..
Looks like a lovely day, I don’t like zoo’z but I think they are an informative part of life.. the bear minimum impact to the wild to bring us all a greater appreciation of the world we never see.
