Before I die I want to…
1. bucket list : A list of things to do before you die. Comes from the term “kicked the bucket”.So…
I believe I’ve mentioned that I’m coming up on FORTY… in fact in less than a week now.
Getting older has got me thinking about what I want to accomplish in my life, my bucket list.
It occurs to me that I have never actively tried to achieve the things on my list.
Everything that I have on my list, that I’ve done, I’ve just kind of fallen into.
:-S
I am going to start working towards fulfilling my list.
Isn’t that the point of the list in the first place? To TRY and fulfill it, to fulfill my life?
Yes, I will share my list, but not now… I can get another post out of it!
Are you actively pursuing the things on your Bucket List???

Not really. I’m not the bucket list type, or at least I haven’t been until now. But I can see the appeal now that I’m 40. And I did just tell my kids we’re going to make a family “summer bucket list,” of things we want to do this summer. (They wanted to put on to visit the Eiffel Tower, go skydiving, and camp in Grand Canyon. None of these things are happening this summer, so I suggested they scale back to things like walk to the ice cream shop, camp in a local park, and go to the amusement park!)
I am over 50 and I refuse to make a bucket list – I want to do things but not because I feel that without certain achievements I haven’t lived! I just want to have fun!
I don’t have a list but I do have several buckets I use to haul stuff around in.
not yet
No bucket list for me, but I do have goals and I’ve been working toward them. I suppose if I had a bucket list, I’d have several things already crossed off: I’ve sipped tea in London and champagne in Paris, eaten spaghetti in Rome, driven Route 66, been to Mt. Rushmore and Maine, seen a whale, visited Xanga HQ, going to GeoWoodstock in a little over a week… There wouldn’t be a whole lot left. Maybe: Visit Ireland and Scotland, go to the last few states I’ve never been to, spend a day or two in Traverse City…
I don’t have a bucket list, really, but when I look at my 60 years, it seems like I have done lots of things I dreamed of doing when I was younger. One thing I REALLY want to do before I die is publish a book or two. I have some written, but finding a publisher is a bit daunting, and self publishing is not in the budget. I guess I will have to actively pursue this one!
I don’t have a bucket list. I don’t really do lists. When I do I always leave them at home. I think it’s a good idea though and I do have things I’d like to do. I guess we’re waiting for my husband to retire then we’ll take a day at a time, figuring out what we’ll do-together-24 hours a day!! :)
Nope, life just brings them to me on a plate. Today, a friend invited me to take a whitewater raft trip when I visit her in Colorado this summer. I’ve always wanted to do that but was slightly ambivalent. So, here I go, scratch another one off the list I didn’t know I had.
