  • The cameras got a good work out here last night.  I’m sure Beth has some photos  she will be sharing…As Donkey said…”It was a blast”

    Your  photo is great!

  • Really pretty! I took my camera, but it was raining, and I was cold, so I kept my hands in my pockets for warmth.

  • I did not even take my camera outdoors. I was enjoying the cool evening and watching the fireworks from my back porch with my hubby! It was nice to just be home while all the racket went on!

  • For you Angi
    My nonsensicle sensicles…

I know something about the things that you dare
I love something about the rings that you share
I found something about all the faces you wear

You are a familiar friend of mine
You care for your family in kind
You flare our passing the time

    And liberty, she grew today
as I thought of how you gave
to each of us our fellowship…

  • Fireworks were awesome, but it was pouring rain, so I left my camera at home. :(

  • Nice photo,  we heard a few fireworks on the 4th July in the UK.

  • I was about 500 feet from where they were shooting them off, I felt like I could have reached out and touched them they were so amazingly close — and so beautiful!! And my camera, with it’s brand new but completely dead battery, was in the van. Maybe I can recycle some I took from previous years….. ;)

  • Dear Angi,

I’m still not able to just hop in the car and go chase photos, so it’ll be a while till I get back into my photography, however this was my first 4th in my new home, situated in the northwest corner of a massive mobile home park. I was able to sit in my front room with the lights off and the shades open, and watch three fireworks shows from local parks at the same time. My favorite time was back in the early 80s when I lived in an apartment near the beach in Hermosa Beach. I would go to the roof and I could see all the fireworks shows from Ventura county to Long Beach all along the coast.

Maybe next year I’ll take some fireworks shots. Yours is really neat. It’s from one of those on the ground, however. I like the ones in the sky the best.
