  • FROG HUNT SUCCESS AND CIRCLE LINKS!

    Yesterday we went frog hunting.

Something we do every spring and summer.

    neon slime

The pond was full of wonderful things as usual.

Charlie and Isabelle scoured the reeds and neon slime for the elusive leopard frogs and green frogs.

    mighty frog hunter

Charlie caught this big old green frog and  two tiny leopard frogs.

We kept the two small frogs for our water garden…

They eat the mosquitos that land on the surface, at least that’s how it’s supposed to work.

We released the green frog because he was too big for our little space, but then…

    prince finding practice

Isabelle caught him again. He must have wanted to go home with us…

That or he wanted a kiss.

We also saw two big northern water snakes, Charlie wasn’t happy that I wouldn’t let him catch them.

It was especially good because I found a CIRCLE!

    frogfie circle

    SEE! A couple of them

That is a good way to lead into LINKS for other peoples circles…

    Since I am behind!

  • Excellent frog pictures. Love that last one best.  Those are some fine frogs!

  • Wow, those kids are growing up so fast. And Isabelle is so pretty!

Thought when I saw the title, you might be having froglegs for dinner. But, I guess not, huh?

  • The camera lens I nicked was 15-105 mm ,the new one is 15-200mm. I am getting the nicked one repaired for a spare. .

  • Awww… I love froggies.  Great pictures!  What does the circle mean though?

  • Frogs are always fun.  Sadly, my naturalist friend says that frogs are dying all over the world.  Glad that for your kids there were plenty nearby!  Kissing frogs — “Froggy went a’courtin”?

  • I used to get toads here in Southern California. Instead of a pond we have little caves for them to hide out during the day.

  • Did that frog turn into Prince Charming by any chance?

Hey, I have a circle in my post..  Never thought about it until I read this post.

  • I love froggers-unless they get in the house, which happens sometimes. That’s even more annoying than having a cricket in the house

That frog certainly looked like a prince in waiting to me…I think he should of went home with you. You just never know…

  • Did the frog turn into a prince?

  • frogs are vanishing.

Treasure these moments, and those frogs.

    Great post.

  • Great pictures! I love the markings on that frog!

  • Those are too cute! I love them!

  • Frogs are completely GONE in some parts of the US. You’re lucky to have some to look at.

  • @Ampbreia - We do a Perfect Picture Search year before last was Hay fields, last year was doors… this year we have two topics, circles and faces in things… It is just to help those of us who like to take pictures get through the bumps when we have no inspiration… we can always look for our idea of the “perfect” thing…

  • @Still_groovy - @dingdongdingbat - @k8tthelate - @TheTheologiansCafe - No prince there… It’s a good thing too, she’s to young for a prince yet… he would have just sat on my couch, ate all of my food and kept her from getting good grades and a solid education!

  • I wish we had frogs as beautiful as those where I come from. They’re not as appealing here.

  • I like how close you’re getting to the subject  and how you’re looking at whats behind the subject..

oh and I dig the frogs,  did you know they squeal  if you stand on them.  The irish ones do.

  • Becky’s site is not working and I know everyone else. Hey, your son’s shirt looks nice and green too.

  • Frog legs taste like fishy chicken! LOL! I prefer real chicken, though.

  • Here I thought my great-grand kids were the only ones kissing frogs!

  • love the pond pic….there’s even a reflection in it :)

  • So after Isabelle kiss him did he turn into a prince. Lovely pictures… as usual. Thanks for stopping by. I know I haven’t been around much lately. I tried to stay unwired on this trip.

  • Are Frogs really that difficult to hunt for?

  • Is is growing up so fast!  soon she’ll be kissing more than frogs!!!  :)

  • Oh No Mornin Glorie…. don’t let Is kiss the frogs – if they don’t turn into a prince they give you warts!!!!

  • I finally got my circle up mornin glorie….
