I think the melancholy of Fall is getting to me today.

I’m ready for the Holidays to get moving along.

I enjoy them, but there is also so much PRESSURE that comes along with them.

I need a new camera. *sigh*

See there I go just feeling sorry for myself.

    I’ll get over it!

Hope you all are keeping the blues away!

  • a new cam? whats wrong with youres??? 50 bucks at walmart?

    youre pictures look fine however……

my kodacrome was only 35 bucks on ebay……

  • That last picture gives me the blues. I’m not ready for that yet! (I’m never ready for it.)

  • Interesting how Fall brings the blues. That first pumpkin is amazing.

  • Snow? This is no new picture, is it?

  • I’d have to agree with @saintvi winter always gets me. I’m never up to that season.

  • I’m sorry you are having the blues, its never fun to feel that way!

One would never know you need a new camera, you take such beautiful photos!!!

  • Awwwwww ~ I hope the blues lift quickly…….I always just blame it on hormones….

  • I usually hate this time of the year because I hate the cold but now I live in Texas so there is no cold.

  • Surely Ben’s got the hint on that new camera by now! Christmas is right around the corner. Cheer up, don’t be blue!

  • my favorite winter photo of yours

I like the line of pumpkins -cool!

  • @TheTheologiansCafe - When it does get cold in Texas, it’ll feel colder than you’ve ever felt it before. You’ll see.

  • @saintvi - Aah, but if I knew I was going to see snow this winter, my blues might go away just a bit.

  • You’re right about the pressure of the holidays.  Hope tomorrow is a better day for you!

    Kathi

  • I tend to feel this way around Thanksgiving.  So I know how you are feeling.

Just thinking about another holiday w/o Mom and Pop.  Still feels weird not to have them around.

Oh well…..a toast to new memories and better days ahead.

  • In Scandinavia, we get very long, dark Winters. The sun doesn’t come up until nearly 9 AM, and by 4 PM it is dark again. It rains almost every day. A lot of people struggle with depression at this time of year. I always ask God to give me His joy, and I am usually OK. I hate all the rain, though! I would rather have snow!

  • Hum… I thought you just got a new cam.? Your pixs are always great! Cheer up winter  is right around the coroner! LOL!

  • awww.it is too early in the year for fall blues (but then what do I know, I live in texas)…I hope you come out of it soon. I’m sure there will be a new camera in that stocking…I know you’ve been good

  • @nattata - No… These are last fall’s pictures, The last one is just before Thanksgiving.  I am a little blue I think because I haven’t had a chance to get out and take good pictures! That and my camera isn’t acting the way it should…  Ahh well it’ll be fixed sometime. *sigh*

  • @boydcreek - Two years ago Joe! I guess that could be considered fairly new… but I NEED an upgrade. lol I am just being greedy… lol

I am hoping the coroner stays away this winter! lol

  • I soooooo would like the new Nikon D90! Wonder how much I could get for my car! LOL!

  • I am still loving fall! I’m sorry that it’s getting to you. I totally understand with the holiday stress. Holidays are fun but there’s so much other stuff that goes along with it that they can easily become overwhelming.

  • Please tell me the snow picture is from LAST winter!

  • We all go thru the blues… just remember, this too shall pass.

    dan *hugs*

  • is there snow already in TC?! I don’t remember it ever snowing more than flurries before Halloween….

  • I hope in this coming week you can shake off the blues!

  • The melancholic sobs of the autumn , Verlaine would say .

    Love

    Michel

  • Halloween brings pressure?  Why — because of the costumes?  Honestly, I think our culture does too much with Halloween — trying to make it into a dark Christmas.  People in my neighborhood dress up their HOUSE, for crying out loud.  Anyway, sorry to hear that you’re feeling the weight of responsibility.  Can’t the kiddos go as ghosts?  Get two sheets and scissors!

  • I LOVE that last pic….and I am sorry you have the blues.  I miss you so much, sometimes I feel a dose of them coming on too!
((((HUGS))))) May this be a better day, and week!

  • The leaves have changed, the air is crisp, but Winter is a bad word in my home…

  • Come visit us in So. Cal.  Aside from the fires, it couldn’t be more beautiful.

  • Yikes!  The thought of snow scares me!  I don’t feel safe driving in the winter.

  • With you new job, you have less time to photograph stuff, but you should have more money to fix / upgrade your camera. Funny how things work. Or don’t.

  • no blues here but I know that feeling that comes with the season change.  there are way to many critters to keep me occupied until Feburary 28th, this always keeps my blues away!

  • Mornin Glorie………. Cheer-up Ang….In the blink of an eye…it will be summer again….

Some caught a freight, some caught a plane

Said find the sunshine leave the rain

They say this town will waste your time

    Guess they’re right…it’s wasting mine

Some gotta win – some gotta loose

    Goodtime Angi’s got the blues….

I love Emmylou, but, having that song in your head all day might give you the blues….maybe switch to some John Prine… try some fish and whistle….but now Goodtime Charlie’s runnin through my head…. I’m off to listen to John…have a great week Ang!

  • It could be worse… you could end up like that first pumpkin!!!

We’ll mope together. My smaller camera broke over the summer. So, I need a new one myself. They just don’t make cameras the way they used to!

    Hugs, Tracy

  • Your pictures are awesome, as always.  Hope the blues clear up soon…I keep getting told that a little exercise helps.  Take care.  xx:)

  • Hang in there. Make sure to find time for you to do the things you love. It’s the only cure this time of year…

  • Love the photos….are you feeling a little cheerier today?  I hope so.

  • *shivers* @ the last pic…but then again it is very pretty.
    Are you from Canada?

  • I fall up!

got a nice couple doors for ya

  • What’s wrong with your camera??  It takes the best pics!!

Love the pumpkin pic at the top!  Did you make that??

  • beautiful shots.. i like em all – i like the way things are lined up
