Time out…

Maybe the Test of Migration
Artist- Ginny Smith
Yesterday my Mom, Isabelle, and I went to the opening of the 12 Voices exhibit at the Dennos Museum.
It was a great exhibit if you like quilts, which I do.
Here is Isabelle talking to her Grandma.
This is at the gallery entrance area, where they were serving the wine and food.
My little girl did so well, she was very well behaved and enjoyed her girls night out.
I was a little sad when she told me she didn’t want to learn to quilt.
She said when she’s as old as I am now, I can teach her how to make quilts for the winter.
I said I would probably be dead then, but thanks anyway.

The quilts were beautiful and interesting, the company exceptional.

I had absolutely zippo interest in quilting when I was a kid. I got hauled to all my aunt’s old lady quilting bees and about died of boredom.
Fast forward about 30 yrs and the world changed. It could happen
@k8tthelate - She liked looking… she just doesn’t want to make them… she would rather I made them for her.. just like the REST of my family. lol Her favorite last night were these giant cyborg robot quilts… I told her I wouldn’t be making any! lol
Even though she does not have an interest in making them, I am proud of you for taking her to these exhibits! One is never sure what will influence a child!!!
BIRDS MIGRATION IS ALWAYS AN INTERESTING THEME AND UNFORTUNATELY AN OFTEN NEGLEGTED ASPECT.
Angi don’t be silly: Caculate before you scare your girl! How old will you be when she is your actual age? Plenty of time to teach her quilting! With next generation holding thread and needles?
My daughter has absolutely no interest in the things that interest me, either. Maybe when she’s old and decrepit like me, she will be!
I love quilt shows! I took the kids to one once and there was an erotic quilt and they figures it out before I did!
I love her tights! look haw classy Mom looks!
I think I figured it out right, and you will be 64 when Iz iz your age. (Will he still need you, will he still feed you when you’re 64?) Plenty of time to teach her to quilt. Not live that long, fooey! Just play the Beatles and get on with it. . .
When she’s as old as you are now, huh? The nerve!LOL
Happy week!
I love quilts .. they are works of love. My daughter ( younger ) is not into them; but the older one is.,
I went to the State Fair yesterday mostly to see the quilts. And it was really nice. Made me long to get back into working on something large and colorful.
Don’t take it too hard, Ang… our kids seldom take interest in the things that interest us.

i love quilts! such works of art. i also, however, have no interest in actually making one myself. and i am as old as you (ahem. alright. alright. so i’m older than you)
Fun! I wish I had the patience to quilt. I love the end result. I love Isabelle’s tights too.
My wife would have loved it. Marty! I haven’t seen her in a while.
her granny looks classic
madam, may u go to my site and help me pick a poem amongst three? thx=]]]
If she keeps hanging around with you, (and what choice does she have, really?) something is bound to rub off!
Sounds like a fun mother/daughter/grandmother outing!
My kids have a small bin of scrap material I cut up for them into neat little squares and they love to stitch them together. Nothing that would hold up, but they have fun. I made a simple baby quilt Saturday night / Sunday morning. I designed it on my way to the fabric store then made vague guesses at how much stuff I’d need. Ended up with a striped quilt in all solid colors except for the big letter J (the baby’s name will be Judah), which was done in a football print. Turned out so well, and with so few scraps, I decided I enjoy designing my own more than trying to follow a pattern.
@lilms_sassy - MAybe… but you still LOOK like a teenager! Beautiful… lucky girl!
@craftea - I NEVER follow the pattern. lol Sometimes I end up trimming down to get a square quilt… but hey… no one knows if I don’t tell them… oh… wait. lol
Quilts, by their very nature, NEED to be original….right? Patterns are just kind of like….suggestions.
Sidenote: Grandma is SO STYLO MYLO. Wow, she’s trendier than me! And Isabelle’s tights are so cute. Heh.
Ahh, I love to quilt. I am, as required, a fabriholic. My D1 and D2 haven’t shown any interest in quilting yet, but they both LOVE fabric, so I’m holding out hope. Isn’t it fun to get to do big girl things with your daughter?
Haha I like how truthful that was. “I’ll probably be dead by then, but thanks anyway.”
I really like both of the outfits in that picture.
I’m not too into quilting (yet?), but it may be bound to happen since lately I’ve been absorbing all of these new media to work with.
The only quilting experience I have is when I was visiting my grandma in Abu Dhabi and she made it my mission to quilt something before I left. I made a triangle patterned black and white quilt with a triangle chicken on it being all hardcore and pecking at stuff. I was really proud of it and gave it to my mom. It’s been folded on a high shelf in her closet for two years.
She will change. They don’t fall far from the tree. Ah well, you know what I mean.
Needless to say, this is quite an amazing
Vacheron Constantin
because the inventory of this brand of watches is filled with a great many amazing
Vacheron Constantin Watches
. Of course, with such amazing design and elegance, the price of these
Replica Vacheron Constantin
is rather high. Thankfully, there is a way one can enjoy the benefits of these
Replica Vacheron Constantin Watches
without having to invest a great deal of money into their purchase.
