I am summer dreaming today.
The kids and I are still without a car.
It actually hasn’t been a bad thing, we’ve saved money not having one.
I am worried about this summer though.
We live three minutes from the beach so we can ride our bikes there.
But I want to GO… I love going.
So today I am dreaming of one of these.
I sold my Cabrio a couple of years ago because it wasn’t condusive to putting monsters in and out of car seats.
Now that the monsters are older. It would be fun to have one again.
Even if its a junker that we only drive in the summer…
Well I can dream.

My favorite dream is laying around the beach, especially when it is about 20 degrees outside here!

I had a 1971 Beetle. Now I am dreaming of cruising down the road in the warm summer sun in my Vdub, listening to that distinive puttering sound only that horizontal 1600cc 4 banger via chrome paper towel tubes can produce. I must find that picture and scan it.
Yeah, summer…hot sun beating down, warm dirt to garden in, the smell of new mown hay, bright colors everywhere, sitting on the veranda and sleeping in the sunporch when the sun finally goes down….but it’s above 0* today and the days are getting longer so we’re on our way to summer. I’d like to have a Bug someday—maybe then I could afford to drive around and find a beach.
I am still pondering the deep fried pickle thingy. Hmmmmm…I may have to try that.

I have been dreaming of eating a Meat Pie. Not a single one available in all of America (this should smoke them out). I badly need a Meat Pie. Imagine Flaky Pie Crust filled with Pepper Steak Casserole covered with more Flaky Pie Crust, French Fries and Ketchup
